Camberley v Croydon

An excellent result for the Croydon boys yesterday! 2-0 win against a well fancied Camberley team before the season kicked off. First half up the hill Camberley had most most of the ball but must say Croydon defensively very good and looked strong!.

 

Second half could say Croydon edged the game to be fair with two well taken goals and fully deserved the win, must say the management team at Croydon have and are building a vey strong and hard to beat side must be one of the most improved teams in the prem this season? The Trams are doing very nicely thanks,NO Budget,NO Training Facilities,NO Reserves,but what they do have in abundance is a togetherness right throught the whole Club.Committee Members,Management Team,Players,Supporters,all pulling in the same direction.Gone are the days of Journeyman Footballers pulling on the shirt for money,then having a coke,then leaving 30 mins after the game with there readies.We have at Croydon now a mix of Youth,Experience,and a few older heads,no superstars,just a great bunch of lads,who work for each other,and support their teamates,even when not playing,and thats just the Management Team.Every game brings a diferent starting 11,and 3 Subs always used,keeping players happy is the hardest thing at this level,that any Manager has, but we have a great duo in John Fowler and Dean Davenport,who are well up to the task.And with a bit of success,your luck changes the balls that hit the crossbar/post go in,the Penalty shout is Given etc.LONG MAY IT LAST!!!!

just been speaking to a couple who go to watch cam every week and they said there is a lot going on at the moment even down to the manager threatening to get rid of the present team and play the youth team apparently he has also told the captain to leave and go to bedfont they have drawn one and lost 7 of the last 8,something has gone drastically wrong as some of these players are quality.

Even though we beat them twice in the last 4 weeks I gotta say they are still a good footballing side.

i know a couple of boys who are likely to be signing for them within the next few days who will be good additions and are hungry to just play football, which may be needed down there.

The few times iv met him iv not exactly been enamoured (arrogance beyond arrogance) and everytime people mention Camberley struggling or not going up they cite him as the reason.

However alot of respect for you Kroons if you have gd things to say then I take that on board mate, not that he will lose sleep over me making comments.

Well didn't know of these problems if there are any but still Camberley are a good side and most important to us a great 3 points! And I must say smudge I echo your words of wisdom! The Croydon side at the present moment in time are all together( unlike what it sounds like at Camberley) as most of us could hear the boys singing and jumping around in the changing room after the game long may it continue!
