Well, full credit where it is due. Town worked very hard today and fully deserved their win.

We hit the post 3 times with a goal from one of them.

How Heybridge ended the game with 11 players is amazing. The Referee was....**** very poor.

Not sure what the Heybridge Manager had to say to the Ref for 5 minitues at te end.

Overall a very hard worked 3 points.

We done Town.

Cold End, you've got to keep up with the shots, Liam's strike was just a bit too quick for you when he hit the post.

Great footage again for us who could'nt make the game. Again very good approach play and but for the woodwork we would have come away with a 2-3 goal winning margin.

The footage also showed we had a couple of cheap off sides whch could have led to goals, one of my pet hates is players not being one step ahead and making sure they are on side in key positions, however it's not a perfect world.

3 points behind the leaders, both Grays and Tilbury losing and Needham rising quickly. Needham's strength is Newson he scores goals for them and is ruthless, an injury to him will be a big loss to Needham whereas we can say we share our goals.

Thamesmead are'nt a bad outfit afterall, they've beaten us twice and have now turned Grays over in their back yard.

The leagues their for the taking, I believe two quality additions to the team will see us run away with it. Long way to go yet well done again to Steve and the team.

I seem to have seen a different game to the cold end. Perhaps he was looking too much down the camera and not at the play.

I saw players who were comfortable on the ball in midfield. The team working and running for each other with accurate passing. A side that were unlucky not to have won by 2 or 3 goals rather than the odd one.

I really want to thank Steve and the lads for putting together a confident side who can take on anyone in this league and come out tops.

As an aside Liam has come on in bounds now that his position is more secure with the departure of Blackburne.. His work rate has increased. Rudi appears to be having a second childhood who, when he turned up two or three games ago we thought was making up the numbers, appears to be making a midfield berth his own. It was good the way that Kirby did not appear to be missed yesterday despite being an ever present this season. (Am I right on that Jim). It seems that the new goalkeeper has marshalled the defence better than Rob and keeps the back line on their toes.

Thank you again Steve.
