I watched the Bedfont/Guernsey match today. Bedfont threw everything they had at the visitors but the result was absolutely the correct one including the Bedfont goal which was definitely well deserved. If Bedfont could have played the whole match like that, the result might have been different.

 

I thought the name calling and general bad mouthing of the officials and the visiting team by a small number of home supporters was a disgrace to the club and the league but I have to admit I don't know what is considered acceptable at this level

 

It was sad to see the ref being constantly argued with. In spite of being one of the poorest I've seen at this level I think his bad decisions probably cancelled out.

Sorry not sure what you mean, was it Guernsey who were being abusive or the travling supporters or Bedfont ?

One word for guernsey today class.

to be far to bedfont they didn't turn up today but Guernsey played some good stuff.

good to meet the Guernsey donkey nice bloke.

GD id a quality bloke to follow his team at that sort of expense... how many would do that... lets get off his case as he is living his dream...................

We are living a dream and loving it... costs us a bomb to go to away games but they are addictive! Will cost me a weeks wages. My next one will be Warlingham and I can't wait!!! I had such a great time at the CB Hounslow game and met some really nice people.

I take my hat off to the GFC supporters, as maisecat says it must cost you a f'in bomb. Yes your living your dream fair play to you all, congrats on a great win for you guys today.

 

I think we can safely say that Guernsey will be a hard nut to crack and are the champions elect.

Watched today's game as a neutral but having watched bedfont a few times over the last few years as a local and thought guernsey were a very good side, never moaned once despite bedfont losing their discipline in the 2nd half (justified too some extent by some poor refeering) and played some very good football; 2-0 at half time and nothing major to report other than the fact Guernsey could have been 5/6 up but for some very good shot stopping and in general was pretty one sided. 2nd half and all of a sudden the game was full of action, Bedfont sending off was in my opinion justified as he went over the ball, Guernsey continued to play good football and Bedfont seemed to be chasing shadows, keeper was lucky to stay on and in a mad 30 seconds Guernsey player was sent off for diving !!!!!!! crazy decision, Bedfont worked hard but personally they were made too look poor by a side that is head and shoulders above them. It may sound as though i have been a bit negative towards Bedfont but i call it as i see it and enjoy watching Bedfont now and again as i find the club very welcoming, like i said i am local and know people at the club and would say that the supporters of the club are passionate throughout but very welcoming come the final whistle and in the bar afterwards. Good luck GFC and BSFC for the rest of the season. JC

The 3 pts for GFC was never in doubt today, fully deserved the win. Was expecting better things from Bedfont i must say, buy they started poorly and as soon as Guernsey went 1-0 up they controlled the game. Champions elect IMO. Bedfont will need to bounce straight back as the chasing pack all won today - as mentioned in a previous post, everyone else (.....well 6/7 teams) is now playing for 2nd and 3rd place. There's some big games taking place in the next few weeks so will be interesting to see whose still in contention after Xmas.

Tough one to call, Bedfont awesome at home (as SP know from last year!!) and a great defence ... Guernsey great defence also ... but i think the difference will be Guernseys goal scoring ability - 1 - 3 Guernsey.

 

Also I predict at least one sending off!

Having watched guernsey 3 times this year and knowing bedfont defense and keeper ( not the same as last season) I would be very surprised if Guernsey get mote than 1 but I will be 1-0 bedfont.

we'll see tomorrow at 5 o'clock BA - though you should be aware 20% of the time I'm right all the time!!!!

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!! 3 - 1 Guernsey and at least 1 sending off ... watch this space next week I'll be predicting the lottery numbers!!!!!!!

Think we were all aware that Guernsey were going to be a very good side smudge. However you can't not vote a team into the league just because you think they might be better than your side.

 

Exactly right, But did anyone know for sure what Guernseys standard was before being voted in ? Everyone has to start somewhere,im sure the Don's would of had to start in the CCL1 had it been around.........or would they ?
