Will be interesting to see if guernsey are ready for what i think will be a physical game. We've played both teams at home and they are both very strong defensively. The first goal could be decisive in this game.

 

Eversley was my first time seeing Guernsey since I left the rock all those years ago. Initial impression was that we looked a bit lighweight, then weathered one hell of a storm (20 mins or so both halves) and clinical finishing made the difference. Physical side of the game has come on leaps and bounds since and attacking bias remains. Looking forward to a cracker tomorrow!

To be honest I have never understood why everyone keeps thinking that Guernsey will bottle it if it comes to a 'physical' battle. Our lads will not be afraid to 'get stuck in' if the situation requires it and I have yet to hear of any team that 'kicked us off the park'. Maybe there is this impression that they are these nice little Island boys but believe me, these lads want to win just as much as anyone. If our football was not working, I have no doubts we could grind out a result. However today, I think 3 points is a big ask away from home after the game on wednesday. I am going 1-1 draw. Come on Guernsey!

45 mins: Bedfont Sports 0-2 Guernsey. Heaume again.

Half time 0-2.

 

50 mins: Bedfont Sports reduced to 10 men after what appeared to be a pretty wild tackle. Locals don't agree though.
