I could show you the delights of Hornchurch.

We've seen them, LMU, and, although it wasn't the East End dump I was expecting, I didn't see too many cathedrals or mediaeval pubs.

It's got brand new horns on the church (over 600 years old - ooohh..!) as the old ones were nicked. There is a big parade when they were unveiled and was the highlight of the year for us. Unfortunately, I had to disappear back to university so missed it. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

It's a sort of shaggy tibetan quadroped, LMU, looks a bit like a highland cow.

 

I'd be interested to hear more about these 'horns' on the church, what exactly are they and what is the story behind them?

They're horns - literally, except I think they are made of stone.

The horns are on the skull of the Ox you can see on the gable at the front. Must be one of UU's hunting trophies!
