Leighton v Slough

Windsor Rebel

Recommended Posts

Well, well, well Forum users, a (nice) dilemma for Steve Bateman at Leighton this weekend.

Does he go with Plan A (the team which started against Hanworth Villa), or Plan B (the

team which started against Rugby)? Whatever team he decided, at least he has the option

of asking Cookham Rebel (AKA Burger and Chips) for advice, now that he has some

free time on Saturdays after tearing up his season ticket.

Excellent result against a side against who we have had our troubles in recent years. Yep, it wasn't pretty, there wasn't a host of chances but it was another clean sheet and three points. We ground out the results and that is what you need to do in a nip and tuck division.

Results went our way and we are top of the league! Let's stay there boys.

pleasantly surprised to get home check the scores and find us top of the league!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets keep this up boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not pretty, didnt play all that well but still come away with a clean sheet and 3 more points though that clean sheet massively was thanks to the penalty save by James Warrington. what a signing he is turning out to be. rides his luck at times as he did today but a superb young keeper who we are lucky to have. definitely deserving of being MOM as without that pen save i highly doubt we would have scored again and won still

on a different note what is up with Paul Coyne?? he is fast blowing the 1 goal a season theory out of the window. top class goal to win the game from him. already a match winner at least twice this season and for most part this season been different class

lets get a winning run going and start stamping our authority on this league

well done lads great way to follow up the Hanworth Villa debacle

COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!!!!!!

Before the game I was discussing with someone about the need to grind out results at places like Leighton. Today we didn't play as well as we can but we produced a bit of quality when it mattered (Coyne) and then defended solidly inspired by the brilliant James Warrington. The penalty save wasn't the only time he did well today.

Being top brings a different type of pressure but it's a nice one to have. Bring it on! COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!

These are the days where a 1-0 win looks very good! Top of the league after the others dropped points. A great feeling to be up there.

Not a great game but well done to the lads for seeing out the win, especially Warrington with that excellent penalty save, and Coyne for his goal.

Now we have to stay there. COYR!!!
