Redhill v Croydon,in the Surrey Senior Cup,the winners have a lucrative tie at home to Lingfield.With the cost estimated at £400 to put a game on at the Arena,my heart wants us to win,but my head says a loss would be a better outcome.Baffles me why clubs enter the lesser Cups,all loss leaders,nowadays.

SMUDGE, it's compulsary to enter the County Cup of your registered County so Croydon have no choice so don't be too hard on them. That's why sides such as Crystal Palace are also in it and why a lot of reserve and youth sides get played until the very latter stages

 

But also Reading FC pay the £500 fine, or what ever it is now, not to take part (assuming the Berks and Bucks invoice them for the fine that is)

CCL GAMES TONIGHT

Banstead v South Park 7.30

Epsom v Horley 7.45

Hanworth v RPV 7.30

 

Epsom v Horley - Horley striker Hough to return to his former club tonight. Will they know his game and how to play him cause many defences so far this season have failed. Is he heading the goal charts thus far ? He must have 15 - 20 league goals already ?

Costing money or not Smudgeyboy, the Surrey Senior Cup is not classified as a ''lesser cup''.......it is the top Surrey County Cup !

 

In comparison to the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase it may appear so but not for Surrey based clubs.

Smudge equally it can be a money spinner. Woking at home for example? Or AFC Wimbledon? I don't think your club pays whole costs, the away team pays half the officials expenses for starters
