Next home match???

It is quite possible if we or any of our forthcoming visitors to the bridge have a run in the trophy, that our next home match at the Bridge will be on December 17th against Aveley, and judging by the previous couple of years, this game could be in doubt because of weather.

The next round of the trophy(26th November),we are due to play Carshalton at home,if they beat Cirencester town at home (which they should) or we beat Harrow then our next home game is due on the 10th December, which is against Harrow at home,so if us or Harrow go another round in the trophy then we will not play until we meet Aveley on the 17th,this is over 2 months without a first team game at the bridge.

Ok we may get a home draw in the trophy but surely the leagues should be making sure clubs have some sort of regular games,at least 2 home games per month, clubs are struggling enough as it is without having to cope with this problem.

Surely we should be looking to arrange the Hendon home match for early November/mid November as an urgency.

It is conceivable that we could end up playing 10-12 away matches on the trot without a home game, surely this isn't right????

There's no consideration for cash flow to clubs. Bills still have to be paid even if we play away.

This is a crazy situation that with a bit of consideration can be easily dealt with.

Hope common sense prevails - Not holding my breath though.

I am pretty sure the Hendon game will be re arranged before then and if the carshalton game had to be re arranged then I would expect that to be as well, maybe the two clubs should try to sort it out straight after next Saturday???

I see that Aveley are playing a west ham X1 on Wednesday night, perhaps we should look at a similar friendly against better opposition, someone like orient,Southend or dagenham??? Just to get some money through the club
