natural finisher past and present???

Recommended Posts

Can't remeber his name, but there was a guy who used to play for Ash about 12 years ago, always seemed to score but for some reason ended up in the reserves. Had a crew cut, thats all I can remember.

Kevin Cooper - 66 in a season takes some doing

"Kevin Cooper made his Dons debut against Sandhurst in the first ever league game and totalled 105 appearances, including 96 starts, He scored 107 goals and broke Eddie Reynolds? Wimbledon record for a single season in 2003-4, notching 66 in all competitions".

I think Mark Corbett at Farnham. When watching or playing with him he doesnt look that dangerous but he just seems to finish every chance he gets!

Ian Mancy played with him at cove about 10 years ago now. Scored about 50 in the season we won the league.

Or Redrup in training ;)

Ian Mancey was a great player Brunty, played up top with him many times. Great goalkeeper too believe it or not.

Yep Shaun Mitchell and the other guy who played up top with him, short lump with short black hair! A frightening combo all those years ago and use to hate playing against them with the likes of Jason Lay and James Blason supporting from mdfield!!

You could go on forever, Mc D at Warlingham was tasty on his day and very old skool! Coops was also a very good striker, as was a young lad I played with at Feltham a few years back called Stefan Smith-Hiebner who I believe had a spell at Frimley last season. 4-5 years ago he turned down so many offers at this level and even chances at pro level but he liked his 'youth' shall we say and unfortunately landed up in prison for a bit, think he's out now. He had pace, power, skill and everything he hit went it. Shame really, a wasted talent!!

I remember Shane Small-King (Wallingford/Wimbledon) never scored unless it was from 30 yards.

Yes, SMK was a nippy little guy! Caused havoc for AFC Wallingford and Dons! Never forget watching the (I think) 'title decider' match between Wallingford and Dons where he scored that 35yrd-ish free kick!
