Midweek Fixtures & Results (Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th October)

Recommended Posts

Second half is underway here...

St. Mags still looking most likely to score

4. Acheampong brought down on the box by the keeper. Yellow card, unfortunately no penalty

5. Gordon's magic left foot deserts him - free-kick miles over

6. Edmee beat Mulholland for pace. Well, left him for dead... Shot stopped by Sillitoe

7. Stickland booked for trip on Wood. Hallford's free-kick met with a skimming header from Field, narrowly wide

9. Edmee destroyed Gordon again on the flank, cross in comes to nothing

10. Lawford crashed long ranger over

11. GOAL! 2-0 St. Margaretsbury. Aylesbury offside trap breached as Anstead played through, outpaced the defence and finished well

13. Aylesbury sub: Edgeworth on for Acheampong

15. Anstead linked up with Rose, fired shot well over the bar, pace again is too much for us

18. Field curled effort just wide past the goal from beyond the far post as an overhit corner came his way

23. Aylesbury sub: Simpson on for Gordon

25. Edmee has the ball in the net, offside though

26. St. Margaretsbury sub: Hinds on for Rose

31. Edgeworth free-kick straight into the wall

33. Simpson levered a header wide from Hallford's free-kick

34. St. Margaretsbury sub: Gillett on for Stickland

35. Edmee broke down the right, played in Gillett, shot rolled wide across goal

40. Ball worked inside to Garcia. Shot outside the box, on target, but no trouble for the keeper

41. Low shot from Anstead flew wide, must have taken a nick as corner kick given. Came to nothing

45. 3-0 St. Margaretsbury. Salih scores from close range after a brilliant save by Sillitoe

FT. Aylesbury 0-3 St. Margaretsbury: Another very disappointing result, as our inexplicable home form continues

GOAL! 50mins gone. A Lee Roberts cross is turned into his own net by a AFC Dunstable player!

Squeaky bum time. Red card for Hertford's Wilson off ball in the 83 mins

GOAL!....To Hertford! 2-0 up through a great top corner shot by LEE ROBERTS

AFC Dunstable score a tap in 2-1...

Its too late though! Hertford hang on in there for their first win under Marvin Samuel. Well done Blues!

Crawley Green 1-0 Ampthill.

Bad defensive error proved to be the only goal of what was a good, clean contest.

However the Ref and 2 Assistants I'm afraid were the worst I've ever come across, to the point I'm lead to believe had even members of Crawley Green apologising.

He produced a straight red and 5 bookings to Ampthill, nothing to Crawley Green, but there wasn't a single bad challenge throughout the game.

The Ref even admitted at half time that the red card wasn't a goalscoring opportunity and couldn't answer his decision why given when asked.

It's not sour grapes as we gifted them the goal and hold our hands up to that, but to witness officials tonight at this standard officiate in the

way they did was an embarrassment.

I trust you marked them accordingly and that a report will be sent in.

Saw the last 25 mins of the St Mags win at Aylesbury, arriving just in time to see the disallowed goal. The visitors always looked more like extending their lead rather than Aylesbury fighting back, there seemed to be little spirit in their ranks & the pace of St Mag sub (14) was a real threat.

yes i will be i will take it all the way . how they can send a spotty kid to ref a game is a joke he must of been no older that 17 . thats ok if he new what he was doing but it was far from it . with 10 mins gone he sent our player of for tugging at a crawley player shirt 40 yards from goal there was also 2 other ampthill players either side of him o and the ball was in the air . but this was a goal scoring chance . the goal was a massive mistake from our player would of happened with 11 men . but did not help the rest of game . we then missed 5 or 6 clear cut chances so its our own falt . crawley are very poor side . they had a much better side when we first played them .

The pace of the whole St. Mags attack was a real threat throughout the game. They are 10x better than when we played them at the start of the month. We got exactly what we deserved again last night... And that was the second disallowed goal by the way!

Sorry KB but this mark accordingly and sending in of reports, will the powers to be listen, will they act, will they have the red card over turned?

Someone said 5 minutes into the game he'll lose the plot here and how right they were.

He looked like he'd come straight from officiating at under 10 level, even there he'd be out of his depth.

Refereeing isn't that difficult, if you know the game....this bloke last night is still at Subbuteo level.....and that's being kind

I know that reporting the official won't get the card overturned. But if we want decent officials then at present we have no other option than to keep reporting the bad ones. Hopefully eventually someone will take notice and set about improving the system.
