So close to that first win-frustrating.

 

I'm sure when it comes it will be even more worthwhile.

 

James Sherman-interesting-13 months ago a few of us felt he was good enough for the first team (-although not as good as marsden ).

 

Maybe via the reserves he'll get a second chance.

 

Is it a case now that maybe a couple of the first team squad not getting a regular game,should play a couple of recerve matches -both to keep them match fit and give the reserves a bit of extra impetus whilst they seek that first win ?

James was excellent yesterday and quite possibly could be good enough to get into the 1st team. Really pleased that he decided to come to us as there were other offers there for him and if he does manage to get in to the 1st team via the Reserves, then that shows the part that the Reserve team plays in the Club and also shows that although the team isnt having the best of seasons, you may just find a couple of players that are good enough to step up.

Not so much last season-but if i recall correctly-in both the previous seasons since the reserves were established-pre-season the reserves were very poor ,but improved substantially post Christmas ;so its not all doom and gloom re:league position anyway.

You could still 'come goodish in second half of season 'and avoid relegation.

 

In fact-if those additional two signings happen-and CK allows for a couple of fringe players to play the odd reserve game-i reckon you will

Can't seem to edit these days-did'nt mean to post pre-season above-but meant pre-Christmas reserves have been traditionally poor-but come strong second half-so keep it going and step by step improvements
