Are We Capable?

The AFCW match was our relegation party, and the last time we were likely to play a match at that sort of stadium with that size crowd. In many ways the last game of that season when Matt Miller did his best to upset Hampton's day was a bit of a swansong, as the uncertainty surrounding the club meant we did not know if we'd play at premier level again. 4 years down the line and we have not made it back, though reaching the playoffs the last two seasons has been better than avoiding relegation on a technicality like we did in S&W.

Circumstances dictate that I am not going to be at many matches to share my lungs, and even when I am in attendance I'm unlikely to be firing up the choir. Marcus does his best but if others don't join in where is his motivation to keep going? Not everybody is as pigheaded as me in wanting to keep chanting things until others join in. It would almost be worth Bates giving Willo a call so that there could be a 90 minute retro crabpeople session.

To those who are the rugby match today, make some noise and get behind the boys. You only get the atmosphere that you create.
