tringarmy
Guaranteed to have one club through to the next round - full draw here http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFAVase/Fixtures Tring Athletic have been drawn at home to fellow SSML side Haringey Borough in the FA Vase 2nd round with the tie being played on Saturday 19th November. Royston will be at home to Norfolk based Thetford Town of the Ridgedons League Division 1 whilst Ampthill's reward is home advantage versus Haringey & Waltham Development of the Essex Senior League. Two further SSML clubs enter the competition at this second round stage following their successful runs last season. Dunstable Town travel north to Long Buckby of the United Counties League and Leverstock Green host Enfield 1893 who convincingly beat Oxhey Jets in the last round. Rhodes
On their day they're quite decent but if you can take Barkingside to a replay and beat them and win 4-0 at Basildon United I can't see any problems

ref off ref
They did beat Cranfield in the opening round, something we failed to do twice this season, so not a foregone conclusion
Rhodes
Ref Off Ref - I bet your lad is chomping at the bit to get back into the saddle early next year, maybe Ampthill will still be in the FA Vase at the Fourth Round stage on 21 January or even the Fifth Round on 11 February, is he likely to be fit by then. Rhodes
12 loyal basildon players arrived at their game on saturday only to be told they were not in the squad because a load of strangers had been drafted in to play. I think this was very harsh considering those players helped the club arrive at this stage of the fa vase and this is another nail in the basildon utd coffin. As yet, I am yet to hear anyone have anything positiv eto saty about this club. It is a shame Perhaps it's no surprise that Ampthill won so convincingly at beleaguered Basildon United on Saturday
ref off ref
Would be nice if he were fit but in all honesty the way the present keeper has performed this season think the best he could hope for would be a place on the bench

Of course, DRS has been flying his assumptions on there. Maybe with a new Manager with some credentials, there will be stability there.

Winslow Boy
Photos from our VERY disappointing performance V Buckingham Town, has to be said Ref made some glaring errors which had major ramifications. However we didn't do anywhere near enough to deserve anything from the game and Buckingham town were the better side on the day. I see the are still going on about us trying to get them kicked out a total an utter nonsense interestingly none of them had the front to bring this up to anyone who might have had something to say back on the day............ Gaffer is fuming and is currently in talks with 6 or 7 guys to come in. Head count i'm informed in excess of 250, 180 seems to be the paying gate. Lot's of old faces from the past including many players from teams we had battles with in the past swapping war stories from games with our ex players, a great occasion on the day just such a shame....... http://www.facebook....41138924&type=1 And well done to the 4 who progressed lets hope they can continue even further Edited October 26, 2011 by Winslow Boy
