Karen Browne
Not regional though,Sheffield is only 160 miles from us The FA split the country into two sections Northern and Southern, I agree that in the odd occasion the draw between two clubs in relevant sections could well be a longer journey than making a trip into the other section, but that's geography for you. Eastside Urchin
It may be pedantic but if they can't stop clubs 250 miles away playing each other then they may just as well nationalise it.The prize money of 7.5k means most can afford it
Rhodes
Basildon United have accepted the resignation of first team Manager Paul Larke and all of his backroom staff after a series of poor results Ampthill Town must be rubbing their hands, they're playing Basildon United at the perfect time in the FA Vase
sjj2112
The 4th qualifying round has not always been regionalised I rest my case Which actually means "I will pick one sentence out of a much larger debate to 'prove' my point, making sure that I ignore all other comments which disprove my point." Rhodes
Sjj2112 - You know your onions, has the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round draw always been regionalised, I think regionalisation tends to devalue a cup competition to a certain extent don't you

Rhodes
Winslow Boy. Are you able to shed any light on the item below? But the tie on Saturday is at Elmfields Gate isn't it so what's the problem unless of course it goes to a replay
Winslow Boy
Sure. They wanted penalties if game was drawn we said no we wanted a replay. Of course it couldn't be played at their temp home at Winslow centre so we asked where this would be played. It came to light that they had listed Stratford fields as their ground for tw competition, but Buckingham Athletic were unaware of any arrangement and said in no uncertain terms that town would not be playing any fixtures there. This of course caused confusion as to why town would have told the FA that this was their home, someone then mentioned that this could cause them trouble and our secretary was really upset that he may have inadvertently caused them some trouble as this was not the intention at all an no one has made any attempt from our end to go about getting them "kicked out" we simply wanted a replay if it was needed and wished to know where this would be played. Fair enough??? Any "problems" are due to administration errors on their part. We are looking forward to the game and as far as we are concerned it has never been in doubt. I think Towns 3 supporters need to take their afternoon medication, calm down and ask questions of their committee as to why the wrong ground was knowingly listed! It should be a cracking game. As far as I am aware this is a non story. Hope this clears this up quickly and quietly, as we at Winslow have been behind Buckingham Town and the ford meadow saga, a once great local club with some memorable Fa cup days hopefully they get there again, we've had some cracking games in the past and again we have been looking forward to this being another since the draw.
