Hanworth Villa v Slough Town: FA Cup 3rd Qual. Round Replay

Cookham Rebel

Recommended Posts

"So you'll all be pleased to know, I am off for good this time, its been emotional and I'll be tearing up my season ticket"

At last some good news for the Slough Town supporters!!

But beware... Im sure a new poster called "I am not Cokham Rebel... Honest" will be posting on your forums soon enough and letting rip into every aspect of your club.

Quite frankly, the last thing we need at the moment is for everybody belittling Cookham Rebel, or for Hanworth Villa Fan to be lecturing us on how to support our club.

It's very easy to come in from the outside and say "get behind your team", when you haven't seen the recurring factors of our team: an inferior workrate and no Plan B.

Why is hanworth villa tearing up his season ticket ? Have I missed something ..was he a slough supporters thats defected ?

or he thinks he was part of us because he is allowed to comment on our team on our forum ..

something we could not do on theirs...

up the rebels.... with my 47 years of support ... which will never change what ever happens to us !

Slough Supporters ..even when we were at the foot of the southern league sw was still averaging over 200

spectators .. we have been nomads for 7 years now ..we had our ground taken away from us and we almost lost the club its self ...

we always seam to be the nearly team ... yet our supporters when the chips are down rally forward.. a true mark

when things are not going for us !

Once a Rebel always a Rebel ...

Ha ha ha. Where is the rest of the game you big mouth?? Oh, and you decided against the grey jumper I take it? No one at your own club even likes you. Your a big mouth, with no bite!! Mr 6 foot 4 skinhead... Do the club a favor and keep your opinions to yourself. Your gaffer and players, except a few bad takles again... Even seen by your own fans this time, are a credit to your team and your league, your doing really well in your league. Fulfill your potential and get behind the team instead of slagging them off. Hopefully if you learn anything from"little old hanworh villa" it will be how to support your team and manager!! Come on the Villians!! Ps. I've never wanted to win a game more because of your comments. A few players said the same!! So thanks for the motivation!!

Well said Hanworth Villa fan. Cookham Rebel: why dont you do all us true fans a favour and stop posting. No one is

interested in your inane ramblings anyway. You do the club no favours. All you are is a keyboard warrior.

I'm interested in what both of you have to say [Cookham Rebel and Windsor Rebel] but not really interested in what Hanworth Villa Fan says,as he is not a Slough Town supporter and has only started to be constructive now that Hanworth have won.

Still, they won fair and square so that's the end of it.

However,do we need these senseless attacks on each other because of our different opinions. I find Windsor Rebel, a wind-up merchant and this forum gets more like the Monty Python sketch when Michael Palin goes into the office of John Cleese to pay for the 5 minute argument..........Palin: I'd like to have an argument please.

Cleese: No you don't. Palin: Yes I do. Cleese: No you don't. Palin: That's contradiction not an argument. Cleese: No it's not!!! etc. LOL !

Surely lads we can converse on an equal footing without all this pointless, inane slagging off of each other. We are supposed to be grown-ups, aren't we?

Part of the problem on this forum is when people hide behind aliases. Cookham Rebel is entitled to his (or her) opinion but has made some quite controversial comments since the start of the season but that's compounded by the fact that nobody knows who he is and he doesn't seem prepared to own up. To me that almost seems like they are making the comments just to be antagonistic on a forum when it doesn't give people the right of reply to their face. Keyboard warrior some would say.

If I make a negative comment then most people know who I am to take the issue up with me directly and if they don't know me it's very easy to find out by asking someone. When Cookham Rebel was given the opportunity to discuss things face-to-face (by the manager) he refused and chose to remain anonymous. That in my opinion then raises a huge question around the credibility of those comments if someone isn't prepared to look people in the eye and back up their claims.

Wholeheartedly agree. By all means be crtiically constructive on here, but don't post anything you wouldn't be prepared to say to someone face to face.

Have to agree with Windsor Rebel on this one, why don't supporters get behind the side instead of always slagging the players off all the time? Ok we lost on tuesday but its not the end of the world. Well maybe for Nathan it is..

Fortuna, I have been supporting this club since 1999. In that time, I have opened and closed my own website (which rivalled the old official website for several years), been the unofficial match photographer, and I now do the match videos, all of which out of my own spare time and for no personal gain.

You, on the other hand, seem to exist purely to slag off myself and Cookham Rebel, as that's all you have done in the few days you've been registered.

And you still haven't answered my questions from the other thread.

Guys, I was going to leave it alone and this will be my last post but just leave it now, there really is no point, no one can win...

Yeah I'm anonymous, but that is because, like others on here, they can't be bothered with being hassled by individuals on matchday, they just want to go and watch the team play as a release from the weekly grind...

Yes I had a major rant pre-season for which I apologised and thought everyone had moved on but because of that I have been labelled quite wrongly as since the season has started I haven't posted anything derogatory about any member of the management or playing staff, if anyone can find anything to the contrary then I apologise, if anything I think I have tried to be positive but on occasion I have said my piece when I wanted to join in the debate, but then I get labelled a fool for being honest when I'm having a debate with rival fans, as WR would spell it, that is FICKLE!!!

So good luck, I wish you all well

Natham as long as I can remember you always moan about the manager certain players and every time we lose or draw a match you slag them off even more, that is a fact you cant deny.. There is still 6 months of the season to play for why don't you think positive for once.

Fortuna, you are either a long-time lurker first-time poster, or are a regular poster using an alias. I suspect the latter, as you still haven't answered my questions despite having 2 opportunities to do so.Despite everything Ian and Gary have said (on this very thread) about not remaining anonymous, you persist in remaining anonymous (to me at least, I don't know about anybody else on this forum). I hope you understand why I cannot take you entirely seriously.

if its desire and passion people want then look no further than Alex Brown. his tweets show how much he cares not totally sure why he hasnt had a sniff of a chance to play for months.

the most annoying thing after disapointing performances is that I know the players really do care and really do want to be successful. at the end of the day they wouldnt bother if they didnt want to accomplish things with the club

maybe time for a reality check and a rethink about where we are and lets pull together and move on. Rugby we are gunning for ya. COME ON YOU REBELS!!!!

i'm glad to see that the comments on here are all about the rebels performance and not just bickering amongst ourselves "not" i baeleive that if we all posted the same thing this site would lose all of its colour, negative or positive comments are always welcome and always should be wether we agree with them or not, we are all dissapointed that we have not progressed in the fa cup but that's it a fact non the less , just take it on board and move on.

when will we ever learn the main problem when we play is that we have a tendancy when under pressure to play the long ball game , sit too deep and play around too much with the ball in front of goal imo we should practice more one touch football as when we do play that way we seem more successfull, that is not saying that the long ball game does not have it's place, but to continually lob the ball to the front players without too feet accuracy is sheer lunacy. against hanworth in the second half we continually did this ,when we did pass the ball in short quick passes we put them under pressure but it was far to little and far to late, so good luck to hanworth you did the job on the night but i'm sorry i cannot see you progressing much further.
