Good update-thanks.

RESERVES -i'm sure they will 'get there' in the end.

Obviously KB and Pridders working hard-good to see reserve 'signings'.Sounds like score flattered faversham.

KINGSTONIAN-- least important (i think KSC least important ) but nevertheless still IMPORTANT imo.It may not seem so now-but it will be important come February if we are in quarter finals.we can win this competition .

LEASE-thanks for update.I believe we were advised about 3 months that there would be this further public consultation process, albeit i forgot. How many more goes/chances do the public get to reject this ?

The public consultation process-albeit i guess very much part of the laws of planning-does seem a bit worrying-but just hope the message of the outstanding community work that the club is doing gets through to the nimby's.

Regarding the public consultation, I for one will certainly be writing in to support the application, expressing particular support for the work Wayne and the club does for the community.

I phoned the club today for the address to send letters to. I have sent mine and mentioned the learning zone, summer soccer school, Sunday soccer, summer multi sports club, the apprenticeship scheme, and the success in the conference when we were there. I didn't realise that the club did so much!! The address for others is

See a few on ramsgate forum trying to stir it up too. Surely as its an official forum on their website the moderator should intervene and delete it, unless this is the views the club takes too ;)

I got a letter from the council.....is the reason we were granted the planning ammendments due perhaps to the fact the council knew they could try and scupper us on the leases? I have emailed my support ;)

I have sent an email...Christian will be writing a letter!!

I also have just sent in my opinon & thoughts both as a Margate FC supporter & fan & but also as a Margate citizen of 60 years.

It is not just about football. It is another part of the regeneration package in my view. Art alone cannot turn things round for this town.It needs other areas of forethought & intention to help that process succeed. This club has been in in occupancy for over 100 years so what is a mere 24 years more.

The people of Margate, even those with niggling doubts, should be giving this their full approval as it is a major step forward not only for the club, but for, & especially, the town itself.

The positive knock on effects of having a successful football club at the heart of the town are unlimited.

That was my tact too..being born and raised in Margate...

Having seen an ill-informed post on the Ramsgate official website forum, and in case anyone who hasn't already interested in contributing to the public consultation is thining about doing so, there is no public money invovled in the project. In fact, the reverse is true with with the contribution to the public purse that will be made through taxation and employment.

Great stuff too Cookie.

I nearly logged onto the Ramsgate forum to correct Bazza, Steve, but then thought whats the point the guy is so biased he still wouldn't have believed it!

I also looked at the Rams fourm regarding the ground devlopment at Margate, it's like a hate campain to some on there like the only thing that's important in their lives. If they were gona improve the ground that be fine in my eyes any thing positive in the area is good for all and would support it (not go overboard though)! Rivalry is one thing but being bitter, twisted and mainly jealous is another!

Not sure but i think it was left in trust to ramsgate as a sports ground much the same as margate,i also believe that the labour councill wanted to build on it but was stopped because it was left to the town for recreational use.
