The second part of the centre-spread 'Lazarou story' makes interesting reading.

 

Here's a few highlights:

 

1.Apparently he turned down a £500,000 bid (by a dutch millionaire) to sell the club..only a few weeks before claiming,that moving from southbury road was the clubs only option for survival.(the new bidder had promised to keep the club at southbury road,and up-grade the ground to conference standards.)

 

2.Apparently,he accuired 5 houses/flats on the old site,without telling the board.

 

3.Apparently,F.A investigators stated that he recieved £756,000,from an unknown source,prior to the sale of the ground....Plus the £1,8500,000.

That just gutted me. Imagine if the Dutch man had bought us... think where we would be now.

I thought all the above information was common knowledge anyway.

These and other things may be regarded as "common knowledge" to some. But a couple of things to bear in mind...

 

Some folks got so pi$$ed off with TL that they stopped following the goings on @ EFC a long time before they left the boro.

 

secondly, (and I've seen this quite a bit recently)if we want to attract and keep new supporters to ETFC, we have to be careful not to have an "us" and "them" situation, whereby folks who were supporters of EFC, appear to be in someway different to new supporters to ETFC.

I'm not sure where you get this from. Have you noticed anything untoward?

nothing "untoward" but something we need to be aware of as we climb the leagues and draw in new support.
