League Cup Draws

Recommended Posts

Jamie, they would normally have been done at the Management Committee meeting on 3 Oct but it was postponed, I hope to meet up with the League Chairman sometime this week to get them done and will put them on here as soon as I have advised the clubs officially through their Secretaries.

  • 4 weeks later...

Dorking 5-3 Farnham Town

Excellent cup tie, played at a frantic pace throughout. Could have finished 10-10 really.

First half belonged to Chicks with Hyett giving them the lead on 11 minutes with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the area. Farnham were looking dangerous on the break, but a good cross was met by the head of Chandler to put Chicks 2 up on 34 minutes. HT, 2-0.

Second half and Farnham really took the game to Dorking and dominated. Jack Dillon ran through and appeared to be felled in the box, but the referee wasn't interested. The goal Farnham deserved finally arrived on 61 minutes as the ball fell to Borelis Bar Maids on the right hand side of the box and he made no mistake for 2-1. The equaliser looked likely and duly arrived 5 minutes later from Bunyan. This was the first of 3 goals in as many minutes as Ramsey went straight up the other end and made it 3-2. Just a minute later and Bunyan equalised again for Farnham.

The game was now end to end stuff and Farnham again came close following an almighty scramble in the box, Corbett's shot was cleared but the ball came back and McBride had to make another smart save to prevent Farnham taking the lead. Eventually the lead went Dorking's way again through substitute Fitzgibbon with just under ten minutes left. Still couldn't guess who would get the next one, but on 86 minutes Hyett went on a run and unleashed a terrific shot from a tight angle to make it 5-3 to Chicks.

Yes, BJR said you'd been 'caught' in the pub ;)

If you'd come down you could still have watched barmaids, well Borelis Bar Maids anyway!

I'm claiming the fifth amendment.

TSP caught in a pub ?? Must have been a good pub or excellent barmaids ! Dorking pubs ? I don't think so ! Slappers all. (Opps - There goes my credit rating).

A great game. I'd love to talk about the officials, but after speaking to the two that came into our bar after, maybe modesty prevents.

Great game Ref.
