Bookham v Guernsey Saturday 15th

Recommended Posts

We were cruising to an easy victory today leading 3-0 at half time but Bookham came out fast out of the traps in the 2nd half and made a good fight of it. But we could have gone 4 or 5 nil up as we hit the post twice.

Bookham then scored twice and after an obscene amount of injury time ( don't know where the ref got 7 MINUTES FROM ! ) they looked like getting an equiliser ! But we managed to hold on for the win.

An entertaining game today in lovely sunshine with a few beers what more could you want !

Thanks to Big J R for showing us the way around Dorking and thanks to the other forumites who said hello it was nice to meet you all :)

A busy day yesterday, and I apologise to 'Bom' for not realising who you were, even when you BRIEFLY introduced yourself.

Had I realised, I could have introduced you to GD. Teffers was there, in disguise with miniscule black mafia type shades. I think he was trying to blend in.

Leatherheads ex- Boss, Mick S was there. Nice to have a quick 'Hallo'

THE GAME..... was, as they say, a game of two halves. All Donkeys first half, then Bookham really fighting back in the second.

There was some very attractive football from Guernsey who are obviously a well trained and disciplined squad.

Met several Islanders, which was a real pleasure.

I honestly thought you said Ben Mayer.

No wonder I looked puzzled. Let me know if you are going to visit the hallowed turf again !
