Well Done Spelthorne Sports !

arp... not aimed at you ..... I think Guernsey are an absolutely quality side .. one that most ryman managers would love to be in charge of.. I was one that said to the CCL to bring them in... I am at a Blue Square South Club that is not doing to well at present . But I think that your inclusion into the league has brought nothing but positives into the mainland league I just hope that all parties realise that players and Guernsey officials realise that it is gonna be a hard slog to maintain the fantastic work u do when there are other things that NON PAID PLAYERS have to do. And yes .. For u non believers Guernsey players do have a life outside football as we all do and they do NOT... I repeat Do NOT get paid for playing.....

Think its just banter arp! From day 1 as soon as guernsey were beaten they were always going to get this! Unfortunatley for them there the team everyone wants to beat.

That's all good, I'm up for banter! I did my best to make sure my (brief) match report was balanced and unbiased so that I wouldn't get jumped on and accused of being a sore loser.....

I think there are still a few misconceptions out there about Guernsey, some fed by overconfidence of posters on here. I agree they will have some tough tests over the coming months and I'll continue to enjoy following their progress, but there will certainly be more points dropped before the season is up. And I don't think anyone involved with Guernsey FC expected any different.

As you say Redrup Guernsey are the team everyone wants to beat and you could see from the reaction of the Spelthorne players at the end how much it meant to them. Even though the 'unbeaten' tag has gone, i'm sure that desire to beat Guernsey will still remain for all the other teams.

Oh well, looks like they'll just have to aim for a 100% home record for the season now they've suffered an away defeat B)

And I am sure they will keep that record.... Mr Vallance is a level headed guy who WILL do what is required to get Guernsey to where they should b.... And I for one hope they do well.. Just watch out for the Bamfords at Bedfont Sports as they have the same vision........

Smudge, care to back up your ill-informed rumours with any facts? I have asked before but you always fail too.

It's a sad day when you let petty jealously get in the way and just post lies and more damn lies. Poor on this forum for allowing it too.

All of the guernsey players had jobs in guernsey long before GFC was formed so what have they all left jobs for these jobs you claim?

You really do come across as a bit of a fool at times smudge.

no mate but i been saying it since day one,he came off at h/t ve horley when they were 1 up,then lost 3-1.Against Eversley should of been sent off ,for his fouls. They are pants without him.

I totally disagree with you here Smudge one player doesn't make a team we can play well without him

There's going to be a few people on la la land now we have lost one game. But remember our record is 10 wins 1 draw and 1 loss ! I would have taken that at the start of the season !. We have played 8 away and only 4 at home so that record is even more impressive.

We are still on track for promotion. We had too lose some time and we are certainly not panicking yet !

Hey guys, new to the forum although I have been reading every Guernsey related topic for months now. Thought it was time to get involved!

I don't know about other GFC fans but I am actually almost relieved we have lost this game, as I was getting sick of all this talk of going unbeaten. That would not have been good for the league and was never a realistic target in the first place. At least now this unnecessary pressure on the players has been lifted and they can now just solely focus on the target of promotion.

Congratulations to Spelthorne on the victory. I work at the same place as a GFC player, and I spoke to him last night and he believes you were worthy winners.

Agree with weebs .................were going about our buisness quietly tho were not playing to full potential were still unbeaten in league an long may it continue we only conceded a goal yest because our cb went to side of pitch where every other def thought he was off the field geting treatment held a line arsenal style arms up to then realise that said player was still playing them on !!!!

GD wasn't saying we were better than anyone else Redrup, simply that Guernsey's record is still pretty impressive despite one defeat.

This makes Guernsey's game again Bedfont, even more intriguing that is is already

Regarding people saying players missing, out of those who would almost certainly start that weren't there include Tardif, Cochrane, McKenzie, Mackay, Dyer, Rihoy - also missing important players Loaring and Le Prevost.

Black going off early didn't help. i don't think it's a one man team. We can tick without him, just not as well when there are more than just him not in the side

Smudge - against Horley, we made several changes at half time so that would have altered the balance generally, not just him going off. Players needed game time in pre-season
