1-2 Hanwell Town v Colney Heath :(

We deserved a draw at the least from today's game we were the better team in the second half and we were missing a lot key players today including K.Jimmy, A.Rowlands and B.O'Brien to name three. Colney Heath are a big, physical and at time's a dirty team and our much smaller team battled well against them in the second half and we did have chances in the first half to score but we did'nt take them and in the second half we were all over them but we just could'nt put the ball in the back of the net i thought every Hanwell Town player gave there all today but for me the stand out Hanwell Town players were Scott Ensom, Daniel Mensah and Shaun Lucien.

One thing that i have noticed this season is that we seem to have a near total new line up in every game we play this season :(

[1-5 Hertford Town v Hadley

Quite easily the worse performance I have seen by a Hertford Town team in last nine years or so. With the possible exception of the 'keeper, Robbo, and one or two others, the players really don't seem to give a flying f**k whether they win lose or draw any more. Well done Mr Varney for completely destroying a half decent SSML outfit. Buggered if I'm going to keep paying £7 per game for that kind of sh!t. Back to ground hopping for me I reckon, and good luck to all in the quickly sinking, good ship HTFC.God rest her soul!

Dont be so despondent Septimus. You know the committee are on the case and working to fix it. The problems lay within the players, this is pretty much the same team that won the team of the month back in April and now have got their confidence knocked.

Ok so you may not feel like watching the sh*t on show but at least come in for the second half and support the club through other means rather than give you money to a team that doesnt deserve it.

You still enjoy the laughs down the club dont you? Even if the football is gash, we are still supportive of each other!

DIVISION ONE

1-1 London Colney v Harpenden Town

A report on this one from another's Forum;

SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION 1- LONDON COLNEY 1 HARPENDEN TOWN 1

Attendance-83 (Villan h/c) Admission-£2 (concessions) Programme 50p (poor effort but at least they bothered)

Refreshments- tea/coffee, cardboard burgers or salmonella hot dogs from hatch in the clubhouse

This match was selected by Villan on the basis that it was 2 of the top teams in the division (actually 1st v 5th). However this does not always guarantee a good game and so it proved today, with both sides cancelling each other out and a 1-1 draw was a fair reflection of a poor afternoon`s entertainment. Quite liked the ground with a good sized stand and a small covered enclosure both on the far side. Pre-match refreshments were taken at the Crooked Billet in Colney Heath and Bull in London Colney. On the way back a comfort break was needed at the excellent Hop Pole in Aylesbury (a revisit).

P-P London Tigers v Oxhey Jets

Do we know why this one was called off yesterday

There was an apparent break in at the Tigers home ground - Some one stole all of the copper Pipe work, leaving the changing rooms unfit for use.

Sorry folks I've just seen the reason, I thought that only happened on the railways, even Kentish Town haven't used that one, yet.

0-6 Old Bradwell United v Totternhoe

A much better performance from us this week, although on paper it should always have been an away win. We played some great 1 & 2 touch football and did it for the majority of the 90 mins as opposed for 20-30 mins of most games this season. 2-0 up at half time & kept up the pressure in the second half rather than easing off. Clean sheet for me as well. :D

Mursley away next week which will be a tougher test as they are also unbeaten in the league - 4 wins 1 draw

I may go and watch a match after my morning fixture if the weather is ok

So you haven't been allocated a SSML fixture tomorrow then

I preferred lining on Arsenal (u-16) vs Chelsea (u-16).

What game did you attend?

Yes but if the Under 16's game was played at London Colney then surely you could have run the line at London Colney v Harpenden Town in the afternoon freeing up an Official to go elsewhere

Wrong on 2 counts.

Firstly, the game was played at Hale End.

Secondly, Mr Ewen frowns upon Referees officiating on Saturday morning before a SSML fixture in the afternoon.
