There do seem to be a large number of injuries but despite today's defeat, we have strength in depth that will hopefully see us through.

Opinion column in the local rag today about it will probably come to crunch time eventually, when players will have to decide one way or the other who they want to play for or risk playing too much football

There's only so much depth Guernsey can have, we knew this day would come when due to other club commitments and injuries etc etc they would have trouble fullfilling an away fixture with a full squad.

I truely believe that this weekend could be Guernsey's first loss of the campaign, Spelthorne Sports only lost 0-1 last time out they know what to expect and will be well up for it knowing Guernsey aren't at thier best, the smell of blood as they say.

Trip71... Can I have the lottery numbers for next wed and sat pls......

Maisie learn the ropes, after 1am the Carlsberg kicks in,up until then only facts from me,Dog pooh is a bigger thread on the Guernsey Press website, than Guernsey F.C. fact.Think this site proves it also, there is only a handful from GUERNSEY who actually post, even less now after your defeat,WHO ARE YOU!!!!! GOES THE CRY on the terraces.

Twaddle it may be,but correct me if I am wrong,I raised the point many months ago, that as a Community Club,Guernsey F.C. would weaken the very structure of the local league that Guernsey people are very fond of.Clubs that have been going for very many years, would suffer due too taking their best players away from them, results wise and attendance wise.Is this not happening already?

I see it as making the league stronger. Players playing Priaulx League football will want to improve themselves to get into the GFC setup. Local players can only improve.

I have spent many years involved in a club so know the scene pretty well and I can only see good things coming out of this. Remember the local clubs voted and approved the setup of GFC.

Looks like the guernsey players are seeing sense. Black and cochrane (the captain) are going to all but stop playing for their priaulx clubs. This is a good move fr all concerned.
