Why do clubs exaggerate their attendance figures, for example Tik Tok said that they had 30 in attendance...............I know for a fact that we had ten supporters and officials and they had 4 supporters so according to me that makes 14 big difference from 30.

Our referee this evening is being assessed by a SSML Referees Assessor - I'll found in the past that its never a good thing as they try to go over the top to impress.

 

That's one way of looking at it!

 

As a player you need to impress the manager so you try that bit harder. Manager is at every game so the players attitude is the same at every game.

 

As a Referee you need to impress the Assessor so you try that bit harder. When there isn't an Assessor then the mind set of the Referee changes.

 

Now if there were Assessors at every game.............

 

We must have had an assessor at our game on Tuesday! The ref was, literally, the worst I have ever come across. Every slight touch he blew for a free kick, was arrogant and booked me for saying something; one which he didn't know what and two that I didn't even say it was someone else. I asked him at half time if he was 100% certain it was me that said it and he said "yes" even though he had his back turned to us when the other person made the comment.

 

Our ref on Saturday however, totally the opposite and a very good ref! Hardly knew he was there - the way it should be!!
