Max and Paddy
Good luck to Slough tomorrow. I'll be at the Gore, hoping (but not expecting) Burnham to beat Bishop's Stortford. I won't be able to go to any games in the fourth qualifying round (I'm at Everton v Man Utd that day), but I'd love to go to Holloways Park on November 12... DarthScroteSTFC
The Hanworth fans were an utter disgrace. It's all very well supporting your team, but when you get beered up and start singing racist chants, abusing our supporters by calling them faggots and the old classics of 'you're going home in a f****ing ambulance' and 'you're gonna get your f***ing head kicked in', it all becomes a bit too much and over the top. Their team deserved their draw today, but were let down by a bunch of mindless idiots.
Ian
They were more interested in getting drunk and screaming obscenities at our goalkeeper. That was just one of their endearing features. We had homophobic chants, racist chants, songs against the disabled and constant swearing and aggression, none of which is welcome in the non-league game. I can only assume they are all too stupid to get jobs and therefore can no longer afford to go to Stamford Bridge. It was like the worst example of football fans in the 1970s. Ted
On cold away nights in Essex, I often wondered where the chavs' dads were. Today I realised the answer. Adil Berdai
Nathan
I feel I ought to congratulate our fans (and our goalkeeper James Warrington in particular) for not rising to any of it. Mr Rebel and DarthScroteSTFC
Cookham Rebel
All in all a fair result, and I would've taken a draw before the game as we're still in the hat and now we know what we're up against, I fancy us in the replay, they played like it was their cup final today and I have to say, the 2nd equaliser was some strike... We didn't get time on the ball and I would've loved to have seen Logie out there today, we needed his bite!!! As for their fans, well I will not be attending the replay and I would urge all our fans to refrain from bad mouthing their supporters because I would fear repercussions after what I witnessed today... I would also urge our club officials to insist on a police presence for the replay!!! Also, the ref was unreal, talk about biased!!!
Sir Rebel1965
I see that Hanwoth Villa were formed in 1976 and it looks like their fans have decided to remain in the 70's with racist, homophobic, and anti-disabled chants, with the violence and pitch invasions that went with it. It just looked like they were there to get drunk and have a fight - not at all intrested in the football. When their first goal went in one of their "fans" made his way onto the pitch, and when the second went in they then tried to pick a fight. This is the first time in over 10 years that the police have had to be called to a Slough game and this is solely due to the Hanworth fans. Wisely the Slough fans got out of the covered end to reduce the risk of any incidents. I hope a formal complaint about the racist and homophobic chants is logged with the FA and they are kicked out of the FA Cup and a hefty fine is imposed on the club as their manager was urging them on from the dugout. As for the football it was a competative cup game and the result was about right. As for the replay on Tuesday - no thanks. staines_rebel_Jr
I think a draw was a fair result today. They were a good team. The ref was not the best giving some very strange decisions both way. Most of Their fans are a disgrace!!! a small minority standing on the sides were the complete opposite. A Rebel and a Saint
That was without doubt the worst afternoon at a football match I have ever had. On the pitch the result was fair and well done to the Hanworth players for getting that draw (their second goal was fantastic), but this game will only be remembered for their 'fans' who turned up in numbers and proceeded to drink heavily while shouting abuse at us (not even watching the game) and intimidating our fans out of the covered end during the second half. I too will not be going to the game on Tuesday, as I have never felt so threatened at a match before today. When they scored their second they seemed more intent on barging into the Slough support (when we scored we stayed in the same place!). Their chants were abusive and I felt like we were being pushed into the corner of the stand and I completely understand why those that moved out of the covered end did so (I did too after their second goal). I will take our family friendly support anyday over that, even if they were louder than us. One of the Hanworth fans was told to f off by that group of 'supporters' when he suggested they go down to the end they were shooting at in the second half. I guess the only good thing is that the camera man would have caught all of their chanting on his camera! I hope the club will be complaining to the FA about their fans, we cannot just let that go! Mr Rebel
without doubt the most uncomfortable experience at a Slough game I have experienced. what a shame that any new fans that came along will think that non league football is always like this which it really really isn't. it soon went from friendly banter to a real health threat 2nd half. at 2-2 I personally was scared as to what would happen if another goal was scored by either side. no chance im going to the replay and surely its wise that all of us stay well clear for our own good. i feel for the slough players who have to somehow go there and perform with what will surely turn out to be another thuggish crowd in attendance. saying that with the police in attendance after the game quite a few "fans" could find themselves preoccupied. surely FA rules concerning having to phone in police exisist. their true fans i'd imagine are disgusted at what went down. as said their manager was loving it seemingly. its one thing saying its a huge game and they were going to enjoy it but what happened was way too far as for the game we didnt play all that badly but fair play they made it hard for us. the 2nd equaliser was as good a goal as your ever likely to see. lets try and get our minds on the game and make sure we beat them at their place. definitely going to have to make sure we are up for it though. chris sliski
I thought I was back in the old days ..when it seamed racist bigots had taken over our clubs ..Slough were just as bad in the 70's and 80's ..but i thought that this had gone from our game ...especially in Non league ...but how wrong we were today ! I have never heard such terrible chants for at least 20 years or so ... It seamed that Mad dog was encouraging them ! Yes I can understand the excitement, and the delight good luck to them the team , They were determined and deserved their Draw but the behavior of those who were there only for the booze up .. spoilt the day for the vast majority who were trying to watch a good game of football.. a true FA cup grit and determination game ! Most were still in the bar ! 20 mins before the end of the first half and again another 20 mins before they returned to the Slough end to intimidate our regulars.. I for one will be going to Hanworth on Tuesday ... come rain or shine .. We must not to allow the bigots to win..if you don't go your allowing them to win the battle of intimidation ! Our Boys are still in there and have a chance ... and they deserve our support too... Up the Rebels ... BTW their 2nd Goal was a fantastic goal... well worth seeing again ..Nathen did you get it ? Cookham Rebel
I'm going to call the FA on Monday and put in a complaint with regard to the Homophobic, Racist etc chanting, there is no place for it, have we got any of it on camera??? They should be thrown out of the competition or the replay should be played behind closed doors!!! I'm willing to put money on it that the majority of that lot aren't their regular supporters but the FA should come down on them like a tonne of bricks and I would hope the referee puts it in his report!!! Can anyone on the committee confirm if a complaint is going to be made??? LadyDi

Ian
I'd be very interested in an official response from Hanworth Villa. I suspect there will be comments about it being the minority and it being high spirits. Well it wasn't the minority, it was the majority - at least 50 and it wasn't high spirits, it was racist and homophobic abuse, both of which people would be arrested for at a football league ground or anywhere in public. I know full well that if fans like that turned up to follow Slough at a cup game and behaved like that us regular fans would have done something about it. All that happened from Hanworth Villa was their manager apparently egging them on. In the same way I remained under the covered end and refused to be intimidated I WILL be at the replay. Cookham Rebel
I can see something really stupid happening at the replay unless action is taken!!! If we had scored a 3rd goal towards the end, god knows what would've happened, there were women and children in attendance for gods sake, although their female fans seemed to love it, it was shocking!!! Ted
I'll be going to the replay, but think that Cookham Rebel has a valid point in suggesting that we seek Hanworth hire (and pay for) a police presence, as there is no reason to suspect that their drunks won't turn up again. chris sliski
Yep saw those few tanked up silly women ! god knows how these people live with themselves ! one was so drunk ..she was having difficulty to stand and speak at the same time ! I think many of them actually thought they had won the game, that is until tomorrow when they look at the result .. in the cold light of day ! its was 2 - 2 and all to play for ! UP THE REBELS... To those genuine Hanworth supporters I know you were delighted the way your team play and rightly so ! ..but you really need to get the message through to the club ..they need to sort this out ! The behaviour was un acceptable ... Even Neil Morrell was there from the combined counties (former Slough Fan) getting cosy with Hanworth officals at the end ..surley he saw and heard ..as a combined counties offical he should do something about it too..
