An away game please, it's a lot cheaper if you lose. I know we won a couple of quid today but it cost a bloody fortune paying for their traveling costs from Devon.

Highest ranked club v Lowest ranked club would suit me fine! B)

So you pay their travelling costs..... Think same rules should apply to when guernsey play away!

I suppose this time they did see fit to give it a mention even if it was only a few lines. The paper is edited by fools and are only interested in the bigger boys. Disgracefull. End of Rant

Did Hanworth get a mention,no mean feat of theirs either,beating a team 2 Levels Higher.Thats one of the main reason I stopped buying it,although I suppose it is up to Clubs and the League to up their profile. Take Budweiser,was that a 1 off showing a F.A.Cup game live?

Yes, Hanworth got a report. It's not realistic to expect double page spreads on early round qualifying games, particularly when it's complete pot luck as to where a shock will happen. I can never really understand the stick the NLP gets, yes it ain't perfect but there's nothing else like it and I think they do a reasonable job. Conference Premier clubs are always going to get the lion's share and if everyone got an equal share the paper would be about 400 pages each week :)

well you did make £4500 quid yesterday plus a good few grand from entrance and other monies yesterday. Don't knock it!

 

Been touched by the well wishers and swore I'd never post. And just for Smudge gold member without the aggro .So a big thanks to all and congrats to the Villains too

Hanworth are being followed by espn at the moment, on tele tomorrow at 6 I think!

 

They are being followed coz they beat Wembley who beat Ascot - which was the first game in the Wembley to Wmbley feature.

Yep but must have cost us nearly a grand to get em up here plus they take 40% of the gate. The ref alone was £100. Just saying when you add it up we probably ended up with about £3000. Yep I know it's nice but if we had won at theirs you could be tailing another 2-3 grand!

How much do we win for the next round? Plus 40% of Basingstoke's gate

 

 

The money grabbing views are my own and not the clubs! B)

First and foremost on behalf of our club I can honestly say we all wish you all the best in the next round. We were beaten by the better team on the day and you deserved the win for your impressive second half display and come back. Its been a while since we went a goal up and lost, so a big up to you for that. We were (are) bitterly disappointed to have been knocked out - if for nothing else the winner's purse would have been extremely valuable for us.

The pressure was all on us to beat a lower league side and i think that showed (both in play and in actions) - we were no where near our best and great credit does go to your team for not allowing us to be. We did/do have major issues with alot of the officials' decisions, and yes it is easy to lay alot of the blame for the result on that, but it is our honest opinion. We had heard so much about your team, and as fans we weren't sure what on earth to expect. I think we were all glad to see you weren't a side full of league players in disguise (as we feared you might be & hence the comment 'not as good as we thought'). It didn't mean you were average/poor tho!

Anyhow, result aside I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in your club and lovely town, and as I've said already wish you well in the next round and in your league. I for one will be looking back at your website from time to time to see your progess this season.

We're not all sour faced and unsporting here in Bideford, just very very disappointed fans.
