Well I enjoyed that today, should give the players, management & supporters a lift.

Indeed, great stuff but Jeez, weren't Banstead poor? Worse than Bracknell a couple of years ago. I'll be posting up some of the goals later hopefully...

Oh. My. God.

That really was astonishing.

 

Plus we never slackened, never started cruising, kept wanting more goals. I think Tilbs especially wanted in on the action.

Our 2-4-4 formation towards the end was rather amusing, too.

The players and management deserve all the plaudits today. After the disappointment of last Saturday this was the perfect response. Congratulations to all. The most satisfying aspect was we didn't become lazy and be content with a few goals we kept going and going and got our rewards. Now to build on this bring on Tuesday!

What a confidence boost for the team today! But oh dear Banstead have to be the worst side i've seen at Stag Meadow for a long long time! Not sure what was going on but they turned up with no subs and virtually the whole side just gave up! They werent chasing back or even challenging for the ball! Windsor were just walking through them! I assume they are a team playing on no budget but even so it was shocking! Felt sorry for their keeper to be honest who wasnt really at fault for any of the goals! Dosn't help when the management just sit hiding in the dugout either!

I thought they made 2 substitutions at half time. Or did I dream that?

 

Come to think of it, maybe the whole afternoon was a dream....

You are right Rother! Apparantly they did make two changes at half time!!! Where did they come from as there werent any subs sitting on the bench at any stage! Funniest thing was when the ref called their physio on and he just sat there! eventually after 3 attempts he came on to a chorus of are you Tevez in disguise!!!

Outstanding result which should give the players a big lift no doubt.Banstead did name subs before the game and used 2 of them at half-time especially as thier Number 11 had practically given up minites before half-time and you just knew he wouldnt be out for the second half.His replacement,the young black lad looked pretty good and seemed the only one putting an effort in apart from thier keeper.When you consider we had a good shout for a penalty,they should have had another dismissed for tripping Yash who was through and thier man was the last defender (full marks to the referee for showing common sense at both stages with us leading 7-0 and 8-0 respectively on both) ,hitting the post and having another shot cleared off the line,this could have been even higher!

I felt a bit sorry for Banstead as they didnt start that badly,but when you have a management team such as thiers that just gave up on them and the physio showing no interest when the referee had to signal twice to get him on.what chance do thier players have of giving any type of commitment.

It was great to see the lads so pleased at the end,but I feel we have be care ful we dont get carried away and Im sure Keith and Jim will keep them focused as I dont think we will come up against another side that will cave in like Banstead did and Chessington I feel will be a tougher game than we think,even though Id be confident of a result to the next round.
