think the mention of "resting" a few has got to be the right call for Tuesday. its not like Brown, Mpi, Abbey etc cant do a great job against North Greenford. its going to be a tricky game after the high and effort of yesterday. mentally its going to be difficult to be up for the game and it could well turn into a bad result if we are not focussed.

FA cup run is magical but league promotion is so so vital this season. no doubt the belief is there but we just have to keep at it and make sure we get the wins

Great win with everyone showing that they are capable of playing in the leagues above where we are now.

I wouldn't expect to see swift play at left back every week but it is great to see that he can play there if needed as I thought he did brilliantly yesterday and for me it was between him and sonner for MoM.

Great to see Mpi get his first goal, now hopefully that will open the gate for more goals for him.

Think that playing the subs on tuesday is a good idea as it gives them a chance to show Bateman they are just as good as the rest. Personally think most of them would be starters for most other teams in this league.

There are no easy games in the FA cup but I hope we get a chance to have a cup run. (only 8 more wins from wembley =]

CR Simon Sweeny,Danny Murphy and Nathan were all back there behind Swifty so there was cover, i'm not say swifty shouldn't have tried to get back.

If Swifty was the last man on the edge of our box i would agree but he was 3/4 of the way up the pitch with slough players behind him.

don't forget greenford played in the cup saturday and won too, so they are just as likely to have lordmayors parade syndrome as well.

At the end of the day Epic Rebel, I don't really worry about who makes mistakes, you win, draw and lose as a team... We are getting results and that's all that matters, if we were losing games then I could understand supporters venting their frustrations but we are not, we're doing alright at the moment and we will only get better!!!

As said above a superb display and win, the only thing that let Borehamwood back in to the game was we started to play to deep and like most games Slough play we backed off to much giving them more space to play and pass instead of closing them down.

Sean Sonner is the best all round player since the great Steve Thompson he just gives 100 % in every game making as well as scoring all types of goals as well as coming back doing his defensive duties a top class box to box player.

I know Sean Sonner is a good hard working striker but to compare him with Steve Thompson is frankly ludicrous. They are completely different type players.Steve Thompson had footballing skills in abundance and could dribble and go past opposing players,as if they weren't there. He was full of trickery and is one of the best Non-League players I've ever seen in twenty five years of watching Non-League football.

Sean Sonner,no one can argue is commited, industrious and closes down well and runs his socks off but to my mind he often drifts too far away from the goal and is not a full on goal poacher. Also when it comes to temperament and how he carrys himself,he appears to be mad as a hatter and a constant whinger/complainer and isn't very sporting, where Steve Thompson was a quiet, reserved, well respected and generally a very sporting player who seemed to me to be a gentleman on and off the field but boy, could he pack a punch if someone did a dirty foul on him,as one opposition player found out in our Conference years.

ER, the thing that gets me is aren't all the current players Bateman's favourites?!?!? If they weren't, they would be at the club... Yes Swift is a good player, I just think that all of us (myself included) expect to much sometimes, these guys are only human and will make more mistakes than pro's!!!!

And 3spirit, I agree about Steve Thompson, still the best and most gifted footballer I've seen in the Amber and Blue, different class!!!

I don't want to be pedantic,RebelDelaney, but what do you mean by all round?

I agree with you that Sean Sonner is hardworking and puts in tackles which few strikers enjoy doing and for a small man he gets up well for headers/knock downs, though he's no Gary Abbot or Paul McKinnon as to being prolific in scoring goals with his head.

I presume you're trying to say that he brings a lot of attributes to the team in his style of play,of which I understand your notion.

For me,though,I find he can be somewhat limited in some games and isn't what I call a natural striker ie Mark West,Danny Burnell,Andy Sayer etc and lacks pace and confidence in being direct towards the goal,so thus, he often goes out of position and doesn't play as an out and out striker. I suppose it depends on what his manager tells him to do.

I'm NOT trying to have a go at Sean Sonner.I think it's great that we have 4 strikers in our squad that can bring different styles of play and offer so much to the current Slough team. I just think you have to realise what level we're playing at to past glories and what other strikers/options can bring. However,he was certainly excellent against Boreham Wood last Saturday and put his heart and soul into the game.

I never saw Thompson play, but sometimes a fiery and passionate attitude can motivate other players around you.

It can also be said that Sean has got good skills aswell, if you ever see him control a long hoof down feild with one touch then beat a defender or two. (he's not as skillful as sinclair)

Steve Thompson played for us in the Conference National as did Andy Sayer, Gary Abbott, Mark West and Paul McKinnon, so that instantly singles them out.

We must remember what level we're at, although I'm sure most of our squad can cut it at the next level and some beyond that too.
