What's the Story? Morning Glory?

Seems like yesterday! Great days!

Hey Now has kind of remained fresh, as it's literally the ONLY track on the album that didn't get played to death. All the other songs you'd hear everywhere - radio, tv, pubs, car stereos, shops.

I cannot think of another album from the last 20 years, where everyone knew every word of every song. Unbelievable!

Summer '95 to Summer '96 - a golden era, Baldy!

That's definitely true Zeal. Even the tracks that were not released as singles everybody knew the words to. Even people who were not big Oasis fans went out and bought that album.

I think Hey Now must be the only track on that album that I haven't heard the band play live.

I think you have to say that Champagne Supernova is the best track on that album. Simply awesome especially when played live.

I've seen Oasis three times now, and they haven't done Hey Now or She's Electric on any of those occasions.

Pretentious I know, but I can't pick a 'best song' as I think the album needs playing from start to finish in one go. What's that expression about the "sum of the parts being greater"? That's exactly what this album is. Songs like Don't Look Back In Anger and Morning Glory only sound truly great when played alongside their mates!!

At the Finsbury Park gig last year, Noel sang 'She's Electric'

They did it on the Friday I was there and on the Sunday as well, as I have that gig on tape.

Do you realise, it will be 10 years next year since the release of Definitley Maybe! That's actually quite scary. I was 10 when WTSMG came out, but I was still able to appreciate the album in a basic way at least. Needless to say my appreciation of the album has grown through the years, it's been with me through all the teenage traumas (!)and it means a lot to me (DM does as well). Sometimes it doesn't matter how old you are when a certan album comes out, if it means something to you you'll love it and understand it no matter what.
