Bookham v Guernsey

I'm thinking of going to the Bookham game. What are the facilities like at Bookham. Clubhouse ? pubs ? any comments appreciated thanks.

Bookham play at Meadowbank, home of the mighty Chicks (Dorking FC). Big JR will doubtless do the big sell on the facilities in due course. Plenty of decent pubs to visit in the town, within 5 minutes walk of the ground. Ground has lots of character and picturesque views of Box Hill. Good one to pick GD, even if i'm biased!

A game for Guernsey where the pitch will play a part

Played there a few weeks ago. Nice little ground but pitch is awful probably worst in the league.

Why is there this conception that Guernsey can't play on Crap pitches ? they play direct and long when required i don't think they will have any problems.

Don't think there's a conception, up til now they've played on decent pitches and play on a decent pitch week in week out. Just be intresting to see how they adapt to it.

I'm guessing in a similar manner to the same way the Terminator adapted to conditions in the past. By all accounts, they are the footballing equivalent of a team of cyborgs sent from the future to conquer Div 1.

LOL.......Youv'e seen them aswell, i know they have crap pitches in Guernsey, everywhere has them somewhere i just don't see them not being able to adapt as YV has said, and he has seen Guernsey first hand. At the end of the day they will be a differcult side to beat where ever and fair play to the team that does because they would of deserved it.

You are right. We have plenty of cr@p pitches in Guernsey and all of our players have played on them.

 

The conditions will be the same for both sides.
