Im sure you will YV i dont have a problem with either club from the outside looking in knaphill seems to have more problems with a better squad than sheerwater but sheerwater never seem to make the next step they seem to turn poor managers over and average players over. Always with the same excuse players will get better if you have right management team in to attract the right players we would not be having this conversation , Im sure you will survive this year as i saw frimley and farliegh this year who both have a hole heap of problems but if im honest you may be down there in the dogfight if you lose a few players too i hope u do stay up but next year will pose a problem with you pitch size and lights situation .....

 

Diggity i am a footy man and dont really play any more due to age but played for 1-2 sides and had good years and made some great friends, be honest im not slating knaphill its facts mate..... i think knaphill is a tidy club but as you no a good management team is the only change needed there like Ian savage over at eversley goes to club and brings good players to hopefully get them to next step.....

 

We will get the club to the next level. Other clubs have more to offer than us and I could give examples of players signed that went elsewhere without even playing due to other clubs getting wind of us having them.

 

Lights and pitch will not be a problem next season!

Nice one Villager, really nice. Not that I have to justify myself to you or anybody else, but last season Knaphill's start was just as bad (if not worse) and I played in all but 2 matches during the entire campaign so who the **** are you to say i have no bollox?

You've got no idea of my reasons for leaving so therefore you have no right to comment like you have.

 

If you want to slag off the club, go ahead as it's your opinion and you clearly aren't Knaphill's biggest fan, but having a dig at me personally is not on.

I just find it hilarious how someone can go around shouting "Knaphill are sh!t" and "Sheerwater are embarrassing" when the simple fact is, they play for Chobham! In the Surrey Western League!! HAHA

Villager, Great comments there you say what most outsiders are thinking. Its whats needed to be said, they have a great family link with manager and his dad who do everything down there but i saw the managers a few times this year and they are weak at this level.

 

As a manager i would ask my self this, Why have my best players left and to go to lesser facilities. when we only recently got lights stand blah blah blah and im sure it cannot be for a new challange when you have a great oppurtunity at this club to get promoted with the setup there........

 

Also i see villagers comments on sheerwaters players? when finished 3rd from bottom last year you have taken on 3-4 of there last seasons squad surely you would want to encourage better players from the teams around you not players like that.............

 

Its the same at Sheerwater people try and polish a turd were really they are a bag of s**t come on there no better than last year getting rid of crap and replacing it with crap but what do i know results talk a John.........

 

Ive seen a few other sides this year and i really really hope Eversley, Bedfont, or Hartly Witney turn over Gurnsey at there patch, fair enough there a cracking side and they are walking the league but ive been reading this website since early august and there are some right tools that come on here and say your getting hammered sat ur crap blah blah blah which is blatent disrespectful to the hardworking lads who go and do there day to day jobs get to training if they can with there tough training facilites bar 3-4 and maybe get 1 half decent sesh in once a week, were we all no the lads over on the island have it all almost like Woking FC so the gap will be high!! just show respect a........

Congrats and glad you have retained the majority of your squad from the last few seasons who, as results showed, were not good enough for the CCL DIv 1 and it would appear that even the Elite was beyond them as you are "only" 4th in an intermediate football league. My point is the fact all your posts last season were having a go at Knaphill and your first one this year was the same.

Some pretty shocking posts.....its a known fact that 'villager' is anti-Knaphill, has been from the start, hidden behind his forum name since joining and every now and then when a Knaphill thread starts, pipes up. Pathetic bloke who may be a player, now rocking it in the Elite League flying as high as 4th, or associated with the club and a little bitter as Knaphill have always got more publicity that his pony team. Either way, Gamble, Diggity, id ignore his comments. Gamble played an integral part of Knaphill's run last season which saw them climb from 14th to 7th? Winning 12/13 games in a row, therefore im sure he could have 'jumped ship' then, but didnt. Like he has said, its personal reasons, which dont need to be divulged, to you of all people, 'villager.'

 

Knaphill for whatever reason, always start badly. Not sure why, but this season has been no different to the last two. 7 day approaches will happen to any club, who has good players like Knaphill, who obviously havent had the greatest of starts. Some have gone, which has led to the club losing part of their 'spine' and some have stayed on. However, with the season this early on, you can only use the resources you have and do what you can to bring in players of the same calibre if not better. Unfortunately, this isnt always the case until around the new year, when you get players wanting to move to clubs for a 'title challenge' if things arent going their way.

 

No one liked BP when he was at Knaphill for their own reasons. I certainly dont think it is time to start criticising Dave and the Management at Knaphill, just because things are difficult at the moment. I hope that things do turn around for all concerned at the clubs soon, as with the developments that have gone on down there, it is deserved.

I know nothing just someone who watches Knaphill from time to time and is interested in their well being the above quote is just a football fact.Hard working football people are always easy targets for the unintelligent and this topic has certainly found at least one.Local rivalry should be enjoyed not ridiculed.

I don't understand why people are criticising Knaphill, I have no connection with Knaphill at all but everytime I have been there Ive witnessed a club that looks very organised and professional.

 

Facilities are superb and now with the flood lights up the skies the limit, the management worked wonders last season when they took over so they obviously know what they are doing, Villager your underated players finished bottom so they are hardly underrated.

Totaly agree with OTB. Lets enjoy the rivalry. We all meet in local pubs and clubs etc and have really good banter. It seems to me that if you are involved at any club its bl***y hard work and the people that enjoy clubs misfortunes obviously have never had a go at running one. I for one want all the local clubs to well, not necessarily for the players as they do tend to come and go but for the boys and girls that work so hard behind the scenes for nothing but the love of their particular club.

Honestly don't understand the flack that Knaphill FC periodically receives. They strike me as a decent club with a little bit of ambition to improve, what's wrong with that? I've noticed over the last few years that there is a lot of petty jealousy at non-league level.
