Another good win but we nearly let it slip after being 2-0 up at half time.

 

We slightly shaded the first half although in the first half hour Ford had the better chances. However, we took the lead in the 35th minute when Tony Maynard scored from just inside the area after a ball from John Bradley. 3 minutes later Maynard made it 2-0 with a chip from the edge of the area after being put through by Tony Fields.

 

Ford fought back in the second half and pulled a goal back with 15 minutes to go and then drew level two minutes later from a corner. At that point Ford looked the livelier side and the more likely to win the game, but we perked up and with 5 minutes to go Andrew Martin headed home from a Tony Fields cross.

 

Line-up:- Collier, Williams (Macitu 65), Rowlands, Sorhaindo, Neville, Bradley (Dada 83), Fields, Lowery, Maynard, A Martin, Cripps. Subs not used:- Damali, Spackman, Wray (GK)
