Why Not Jersey ?

Personally,I would like to see any channel island sides in the Ryman Premier, any excuse for a trip to the channel isles to see the mighty Hornchurch play and the Hornchurch faithful would travel in good numbers, last season we made the long trip down to bideford for a trophy game, taking around 150 fans down there,no mean feat considering our average home gate is only around the 250-300 Mark, even my 8 month old daughter was in on the jolly up,reckon we would travel in similar numbers should such a game arise, even for a pre season friendly I reckon we would bring 70-80

Lol.Anyway,as it seems, jersey are at least contemplating what their next step is whether that be international football or following the success of GFC,they must surely be thinking about joining the non league game in the uk ??

I can see it now, pictures of their mighty leader smudge, raised from the terraces by their fans, jerseys adored leader

Im sure Jersey football people are loving seeing Guernsey each week on our local sports programme!

Those that think Guernsey are loaded... wait if and when Jersey, they will make sure their budget s even bigger that Guernsey's! Look what they do with their Rugby with some Professional players. Not quite the same thing I know but shows they have money for these things.

Guernsey are true Corinthian's in the mould of Corinthian Casuals, because not a brass farthing is paid to any Players. The Ryman LEAGUE LOVE THEM,The F.A LOVE THEM,and even if they finish in a relegation place, they are never relegated. But good news for all Guernsey supporters, just been brought to my attention that Guernsey R.F.C.will have their Clubhouse ready in the Garenne Stand early January, lets hope it is a shared Clubhouse, with the footie fans.YOU LOT KEPT THAT UNDER WRAPS.WHY DID NO ONE TELL smudge,You devils you.

Smudgey you are quite right, the GFC will be using the new GRFC club house as thier club house, and im told on the sly they will also be increasing the Stadium seating capacity by another 100/200.

It's public knowledge so not on the sly that they have applied and got (I think) planning permission for a smaller stand to the side of the current one. :)

Jersey are by all accounts a better side and would go straight into the ryman league
NONSENSE ! Guernsey are a far better side than Jersey. If you would have seen our last game against them you would have seen us hit the bar post, and miss many chances. Jersey scored a last minute equiliser then won on pens 3-0 ! We really should have won this game 5-0 at least. Fair play to Jersey though they rode their luck and won. We have won the island games football title twice to Jerseys ZERO !. To say Jersey are better than us is ill informed and ludicrous !

Smudge,I would like Alderney in the ccl1 if it p1ssed you off even more!

Don't forget Herm, and possibly Jethou.

I see Smudger alluded to your 'A' levels.

A little birdy told me your 'O' levels are pretty impressive too, EU !
