Please someone help me out here we beat this very ordinary/mediocre T&M side and made them look bad because in truth thats what they are... but today apart from the gift of the first goal which JS should have and in all probability my gran (god rest her soul) should have easily saved we looked like we were in the driving seat.

We resorted to their style of play (hoof it) and we paid the price. They took onboard what we did to them in the FA and we played as a sunday league team and tried to run the ball into the net..... harsh... not a bit of it, we (as a team) looked good until we tried to pass it to the forwards and then it all fell to pieces. CK may be the chosen one to some but is yet to prove his mettle so far.---- am I wrong, probably but on this showing even the most optomistic of us (me inc) need to re-assess our ambitious play-off / league winning team assessment.

One step forward & two mighty steps back. Absolutely clueless all round. Only thing worth talking about was the way AVERY put the ball away for our goal.

Those players really do need to take a good long look at themselves after that.Tooting WERE indeed a poor lot & if we can't take scalps like them then we are in real need of a shake up & questions need to be asked.

Where in the hell is that away form? Where is the football played on the ground? Where is positive pay & ball control? Why does it seem like the fitness level has gone down?.No one seems to want to run & run & run for this club lately (having now got their contracts) .

As you say,far too many long balls forward in the hope that a goal will come rather than making it happen.

That display was toothless & abysmal & I'm expecting 300% more next time AT HOME! Us supporters who go no matter what the result deserve better than that crap!

Absolute rubbish ck for those of you who think he is a god wake up and smell the coffee. Same as last year with ioc we have a very good budget one that should enable us to be in the playoffs. But we have players who couldn't give a [censored] about the club just aslong as they get there money.

We need a manager who can motivate this lot its about wanting the shirt wanting to win not just to pick up your dough each week! Sort it out we cannot have many more of them.

Harsh but I think most fans can relate to your sentiments, trouble is can the "Team/Management" dust themselves down and sort this out i.e. play the feckin ball on the floor cos we look dangerous when we do and inept when we dont :(

Their second goal came from a missed header by our skipper & then our other defender decided to play "pretty" when he should have kicked the ball out of the ground.(One occasion when that DID needed doing) He then got dispossessed in possession & a goal ensued ( wham bam thank you ma'am! A gift without a doubt!)

Too quick to moan about poor performances. They will be interspersed with good games throughout the season for a team in constant flux. CK's first full season in charge was up and down, but once he had the players he wanted for a season and then built upon that, look what happened.

The important thing I feel at this time is to accept that performances like this will happen, and to get behind the team as much as possible.

Can't remember the last time I heard a song sung on the terraces.

Didnt go yesterday so interested to read people's opinions on the game and it sounds like we played badly ( as with the games I have seen). But on the report on the website that contains CK quotes, the author of the report says that if he result was based on time spent in the opposition box and chances then Margate would have won? If that's the case then how badly can Margate have played? Can a team play that badly but still have the most chances and most possession in the other box? Are us fans too critical? Or did the author of the report on the website watch a different game? Or is he not allowed to be at all down on the team?

Just curious cos the fans reports and the website say different things !!!

The negativity at home games is becoming unbearable, admittedly there wasn't much to shout about on Saturday, but the constant moans and groans after a few misplaced passes aren't exactly helping. We're supporters, how about showing some SUPPORT for once. You don't get this at away games and our performances and results have been far superior, coincidence? I think not.

Been watching MFC for the last 20 years. Even as a small lad sitting in the old wooden stand next to my Grandad, I remember thinking how good Margate fans were at moaning. It seems that moaning is what Margate fans do best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why are people blaming CK over the players commitment levels????? Do you wake up in the Morning and go 'I can't be bothered to go to work today and put the effort in and it's all the managers fault'? If the player couldn't give a [censored] about the club he is playing that is his problem and no one else's. Although I doubt a player wouldn't try because he doesn't like the club he is playing at, thats not going to do his career any good, so for those reasons I do not think that is why we were bad yesterday.

We were bad because the players have clearly forgotten that football is an easy game and everyone had this weird illusion that we had Crouch and Zigic up front. Hoof ball never gets you results, unless you are lucky and you should never play hoof ball at home. In this league if you keep the ball the chances are you will win the game. So many times yesterday we just hoofed it forward despite having our backs to goal, now either Kinnear has brought players with eyes in the back of their and excellent passing or the players have forgotten how to control the ball, turn and pass. We relied to much on getting crosses in the box yesterday when we clearly no winning hardly any of the aerial battles. We lost yesterday because the players didn't turn up and there was no plan B. I agree with CK that there were a few players who looked sharp yesterday and I probably agree with Avery being named MOTM (excellent technique by the way for his goal) and I thought Bradbrook looked a threat yesterday when the ball was played to his feet, but he lacked support.

Other then that, what is with all this moaning on the terraces. I know it's been talked about often on here over the years, but it's pathetic. If you say you are Margate supporter then support Margate, For christ sake it's only a game of football and you know when you paid you entry fee that it might turn out to be the worst game of all time, so either take it out on Joseba's cat or GET BEHIND THE TEAM.

The commitment 'arguement' comes around all of the time.

I am convinced that there is no lack of commitment from anyomne.

its simply that on some days you are better than others.

The 'don't play hoofball arguement also always does the rounds.

I'm sure the players want to play like Barcelona in every game-.Only problem is that there are 11 guys in different coloured shoirts stopping you \doing that.It would be easy without the opposition out there stopping you playing.

ometimes you simply have no choice other than 'hoofball'-don't knock it-accept it as part of the game-especially at this level.

The trick is to benefit from it-and thats where CK and the players come in

Disagree with this, hoof-ball or kick it higher than they can because it just smacks of schoolboy football to me and shows how much work the management team have got on their hands, having moaned myself (Im allowed .... Im getting old ) I would bring your attention to some of the games where when we "did" play ball to feet we looked extremely well drilled and dangerous as a team and might I add apart from the likes of Lowestoft (will probs win the league) there isnt a team in this league that the Blues need fear. As for fans moaning on the terraces ...... Im guilty and if you are honest with yourself we ALL do, it doesnt mean that we dont support our beloved MFC just the opposite IMO..... we just know from watching these players week-in week-out that they are capable of much much better.

I guess some of us do it inwardly and some outwardly.

some during the game-some post game.

No right or wrong way about it-and whilst my expectations are average-even i was disappointed with the hendon game where i thought we were very poor-and it seems like saturday was similar.

Interwsting point about the players being capable of more-ARE THEY ?

I base my expectations on mid table on the quality of the players-and frankly-i am not sure they are capable of more (which is not a crticism ).they play at the level they do and we get the results we get because that is their 'quality'.

there are better players -and teams in this league-and quite a few of them.

I think we are all guilty of expecting too much from our players-just because they are 'known ' to us.

We all know about cloke, ball, hill,bodkin-because they have been on the dover/ramsgate/kent scene for some time.

However, they almost certainly mean nothing to people living in essex/sussex/london and following the likes of aveley and concord-so whilst they are 'names' to us-in the context of the ryman league-are they in fact as outstanding/capable of more as we think ?

does the familiarity make us think they are better than what they actually are ?

Again-not a critcism-as i think the majority of the team as assembled are more than capable at this level-what i question is if either individually or as a collective-they are much better than average ; and thus we will stay in mid table-because that is the current level of ability-and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that for one more season whilst ck slowly builds on the foundation that the current 'crop' give

Cant disagree there michael with your outlook on mid table, which given some of the teams in this league (most with problems off the pitch) is/will be exceptable for most but I have a sneaky feeling we all secretly desire for this team to be as compact and successful as the one that got us to the dizzy heights of the Conference. Its not too far off IMO as many on here have cited the need for a midfield general or maybe a quality GK, and although CK is an experienced manager Im sure even he would/could do with one or two more players in the mix........ we can all dream and yearn but the reality is if we dont start winning our home games

where a majority of our revenue comes from then we will fail dismally this season as the guys with the open chequebooks behind the scenes wont be able to bolster the ever dwindling income because of falling attendancies - not a criticism just a business fact sadly and one that we have encountered before and nearly folded as a result!! :(
