CB HOUNSLOW 1 SOUTH KILBURN 3

Worse performance since I joined the club gave a few players who are normally on the bench a start including keepers ist game.

We just did not deserve anything today all credit to Kilburn who had several new players playing today 1-1 half time but two goals in a space of three mins from some sloopy defending was enough to finish us off just could not test the keeper enough in the second half South Kilburn worked really hard for thier result good luck to them in the next round.

Guildford 1 v 1 Camberley

Poor 1st half marked by some early over the top challenges from Guildford. The one on our CB within the first 5 minutes clearly wasnt noticed by the ref otherwise the Guildford player may have been in trouble.

2nd half started better. Camberley scoring 2 minutes in with a well worked goal but Guildford were level within 2 minutes thanks to a lovely finish from outside the box. Both sides then cancelled out but I would say we were happier with a draw than Guildford. Shame to see the moaning and bench baiting at it again from the home side. Best call was from the Guildford bench in the last minute when the assistant gave us a throw "Give us something today ref" which was literally seconds after their player had blazed over a free kick from 20 yards out. Quite interested to know who had given that if the ref had given them nothing all game ?

Perhaps you should try listening to the foul-mouthed abuse that was coming from the Camberley dug-out.

Kob's report Petersfield 1-5 Hartley

Another very polished performance from the lads and the scoreline wasn't flattering. No disrespect to Petersfield, who are clearly not a bad side, being top of Wessex Division One (same step level as us in Combined Counties 1), but we were a class apart yesterday. They couldn't cope with the tempo of our game, or the movement. Lovely football, both as a team and individually.

The goals came from Martin Williams (worldy), Jermaine Hamilton (great turn and shot across the keeper after great work from Willo) - 2-0 half-time - then Darryl Bloxham (bullet header from a corner), Nick Kingston (on for Jermaine - from Ryan's pullback from the line, powerful shot into the ground and up over the keeper!), and Andy Newcombe (cross-come-shot that floated into the far top corner). Not on the scoresheet today but on another day Ryan might have had a hat-trick.

It was very much a team performance but if I have to pick out a MOTM then it has to be Willo. Totally controlled the centre of midfield - Petersfield couldn't get the ball off Martin all game - and his very deliberate lofted shot from around 22 yards for the opening goal was something special.

Also should say what a lovely setup and ground Petersfield have - I was away in August for the FA Cup game so was my first visit. Good facilities and surprised at the low number of home supporters they had there for a relatively big game, and for a team top of their division. Of course we know times are tough and people are keeping money in pocket, but it's sad to see such lovely facilities not attracting the support it deserves - they're not alone there though.

Some Division 1 action, so NG may wish to look away now ;) Having said that, he may want to assume the Alan Hansen role to analyse the defending. Just the ten goals again - lads, can we keep the goals down to 3 or 4 a game please? :)

excellent as ever Trevor. I can see Wattsy having nightmares about goals 4 and 7 in particular. :embarassed:

just a bit of friendly advise Kroons and a little bit of tongue in cheek humour, mate i'm not bitter at all it is laughable really as my family says every manager who takes the job from now on will be looking over thier shoulder every time they lose a match thats not the way to manage a football team.

Lol it is laughable pretty much how this forum has become it used to have some decent posters on here with decent banter and informative posts......how times have changed.

I guess a bite was expected but I am a little better than that and will carry on quitely going about my job at building a side who can compete at Cove.

Have to agree trs, defences were suspect today but think our firepower was too much! Still at least my assist for the 4th with a stunning shot off the bar! Lol!!

Think we'll have to give that assist to Wattsy ;)

In his defence (pardon the pun), in the first half he was smashed in the face by the ball from 4 or 5 yards and was down for a few minutes. I thought the Knappers keeper did well overall, some great stops.

Bit off topic, but on youtube it allows you to see where the hits are coming from on any video. There is one section 'related video' where people have clicked on it usually as they've been watching another video featuring the same team or another of my videos etc. Looking at the Ash v Windsor video stats, a couple of the 'related' videos were:

Katia Virshilas & Dan Lobb - first rehearsal, strictly come dancing

and

TOP FIVE CHEESIEST MOVIE ENDINGS

Your guess is as good as mine....

My personal favourite though has to be the Warlingham v Farnham FA Vase video, which was found via:

Josh Emett's Culinary Journey in Victoria's North East

Who said I was laughing at you? I certainly didn't. Football is cut throat Duncs I am sure one day I will get the sack but all I can do is give 100% to what ever club I am working for.

This is boring now hearing you change your mind from accepting that it was best for you and the club that you wasn't manager to piping up again. Yes we lost yesterday but I am not blaming everyone around I am accepting it and moving on....

Don't worry DT10 you have another chance, as according to the NLP you have a replay on Tuesday! Mind you, according to them El Gaffer's lot are now in 5th place in the division having beaten Sandhurst 1-0 yesterday :)

I do accept it was probably the right thing for the club its the way it was done that was dodgey but you are coming on here trying to have some sort of moral highground well it don't wash with me so take your obnoxious attitude and stick it where the sun don't shine, one thing that does mystify me is when did yiou know I was leaving and who told you to apply for the job now think carefully as I am still a member of the club and a supporter of Cove fc
