Guernsey v Sheerwater

Recommended Posts

I assume the slight drop in support numbers was because of the two Jeremie Cup games at St Martin's and Sylvans against opposition from Jersey.

Maisie, you are probably right about why the attendance was down. The interesting thing is that both Guernsey sides lost without scoring a GOAL,against their Jersey opponents.A bitter pill to swallow for the Guernseyites, but it was brought up pre-season,that your League Teams would be severely weakened,by GUERNSEY f.c CALL UPS.

DONKEY i know its not Guernseys fault that they are in Div 1 but you do need to be realistic man, anyone should be confident of his team if the team are playing probably 3 standards below what their players are capable of.Will you still be chirping like a canary when you arrive at your correct standard and find yourselves on the wrong end of a good hiding? Im sure Smudge will be on your case when that time comes .In the meantime show some respect to the little teams.
please don't judge me when you don't know me.i do respect other teams,i am the first to applaud away sides subs and goals.i am thankful for the CCL and it's clubs for allowing us to join this league everyone has too start somewhere and I'm please d we have started our journey here. I can't wait for more competitive games we lost 6-5 to AFC Wimbledon pre season what a game that was.of course I'm very confident in my teams ability, whats the point in going to watch your team wanting to lose! Guernsey FCs aim is promotion and I will believe we will comfortably do that and so do 99% of neutrals. I am passionate about my team and I will continue to be so.Go The Green Lions ! Yes, and I'm still in favour, we cannot afford to be dinosaurs. This is doing huge amounts for football and as the aim of the club is also community, it is all good. Visiting teams will notice our ballboys/girls are all from one of our local clubs mini section too, This week was the turmn of Saint Martin's, last game was North. This is bringing bigger football to these kids and they provide an excellent service.

More kids wanting to play football=good, more lads staying with football with the chance of being picked for guernsey FC=good

Just in the short term some local league games may take a knock until things settle.

The clubs suffering most will be those who choose to play on GFC home days ( and they have been offered option not to.)

As a long time Weymouth fan, I know the bitter taste of defeat and the pain of sliding down from league topping position in the Conference

Especially losing to Hornchurch at home in the last minute of the Fa cup when we were 3 leagues below you. There's only one Simon Parker!!!

I suppose the guernsey crowd are getting bored of these easy win and probably can't wait for a close game! Dunno if your get one at home!
it's great to see loads of goals but it will be brilliant to see a close hard fought game.maybe bedfont sports or staines lammas will give us a stern test ?

we will try donkey!! we will try!!!

Come on GD, you were there Saturday, your fans won't see a hard fought game at home, it was unplayable. Ohh and looking at the league bulletin it was 4 goals in 6 minutes.

Donkey you just dont get it do you your situation is like Man Utd playing in Div 1 loads of goals but no satisfaction also Westfield have beaten both Bedfont and Lammas this season and you hammered them

what so do you think no one can beat them? werent Hartley 1 minute away from victory, Eversley ran them close.

As I was reminded,Farnham have beaten Guildford and Camberley this season, will they win the Premier NO.Now the thing that is ironic to me,is when Guernsey visit Staines Lammas on October 26th,there are no other games listed for that night. And Guernsey's last game of the season on the 7th April is against whom,Staines Lammas. When I presume the League Trophy will be presented.Weather permitting of course.

Other way round Redrup, Hartley scored with 1 min to go !

Maybe a solution would be Guernsey F.C.putting their Kick Offs back to 6pm.So that the locals can support their local league sides,as well as supporting Guernsey F.C.

Changes to the scheduled kick off time have to be agreed between the 2 clubs. So whilst this might work for some games, be a slight problem for those clubs that might want to travel the night before. Plus, I think a larder kick off time would mean less of a crowd...

Te ballboys behind the left hand goal were a total pain in the [****!!****] on Saturday. Second half there were 5 of them and all they did was pee about and not pay any attention. Other areas of the ground there were two, far better number. They were asked on a few occasions to sit down and watch the game. Bloody kids eh!
