I am as near to tears,with comments posted by Drivetime on the Official Guernsey Forum,he states:-

 

Those such as this SmudgeCharacter,what a truly remarkable imagination this Chap/His Friends/Family/Jilted Lover/School Bully/Care Worker/Probation Officer/Pen Friend must have,are exhorting all their character traits in their jealousy.

My character is in tatters,my heart is broken,but I will Soldier on regardless.Wipe the tears from my eyes,and know that I have Good Friends,who will help me on the long road to Recovery.It will take time,which at my age may not be long.Think a large stiff drink is needed.

I can see you find it amusing! I wouldn't worry smudge. the people writing the pub team stuff are generally those who don't watch Guernsey and aren't that supportive of the club and any excuse to knock it, they take.

 

As for the top one, rather OTT. You'll find most posters on there are not like that.

 

Like on here, there is a minority who post utterly daft things

well thats ok then. anything smudge says all in guernsey jump up and down and cry foul. cant he be eccentric, with a tongue in his cheek. lets just all enjoy the ride. it has been asked, but when does guernsey, stop paying for teams travel.

 

Oh i realise that smudge's post is TIC however if you read the thread on the Guernsey forum several Guernsey posters are taking offence to it. I would post what i put on here on there but i'm not signed up to the forum on the official site, yet.

 

To answer your question on travel, they wont stop paying this season or next or while they have the backing of Sportingbet (or other like minded sponsor). I guess, should we ever reach the dizzy heights of the conference then it may be revisited.

Smudge, why don't you come to Guernsey to watch a game (perhaps Croydon if they beat Ash), make yourself known to the people at GFC? I am sure you will be very well looked after in true Guernsey spirit. You can then decide what the people actually involved with GFC are like for yourself. You have a right not to be amused with comments like that.

Already met and spoken to many Guernsey people at the 4 games that I have watched,thoroughly Nice decent people.But how can Drivetime's post,not be anything else, but be totally out of order.The man maybe Excentric in your eyes but not in mine.He sullies GUERNSEY'S great name.

You'll be fine, just stick to the local brew (Breda) you won't feel any of the fruit then, you probably won't even remeber which island your on!

Any chance we can get Ross Allen or some of the other GFC players to start posting on here haha- will improve our CCL Forum team !! He will probably only make the bench tho!
