poor performance from the wood. VILLA recovered from a goalkeeping mare.

First of all Aveley FC had 4 reps at the game!

I wouldn't say we were poor, more a case of Villa were better; much better in fact.

We did our best but fell short of a side that could threaten at the top. Loss of 3 points v Croydon wont have helped Villa though.

Jimmy Davies gave us a 4th minute lead from 35 yards which "eluded" the keeper. Oakes (2) Preddie and farnden scored for Villa (23,43,45,57 mins).

BTW we got 4 yellows (1 was harsh) Villa got 1 (should have had 3).

Referee was Chris Felton from Twyford who was very good IMHO!

don't know how many aveley had but i spoke to their manager on the way back about some work and he said he had been to the game

no chris, you were poor. agree villa played to there plan. but the woods were flat. think the ref had good game. think redhill were having a watch as well. poor crowd seeing not much on.

Looks like financially, things are going to get even worse in the UK over the coming months.
