We were all gutted after the game.

We actually played very well (again) at times but for some reason were unable to take our chances and hurt our opponents.

Additionally, some players need to decide whether they are doing well enough to hold on to their shirts, by this result, it suggests some are not.

And without sounding sour grape like, I thought the 3 officials were dreadful tonight, they were all like rabbits in headlights, they could'nt see naff all.

I was not at the game so I must be prepared to be shot down in flames.

The side is not awful or even bad. From results it appears we are a mid-table side. If we are not careful our season will finish around end of November!

It is my view that it does not take much to move from a mid table side to challenge for promotion which is what we all want. Now Steve has to take action. He is not stupid and I believe he will take action. Thamesmead was the first game I have missed this season but it does not need a wholesale clearout or panic measures it needs someone to look at the side and take a scalpel to it not a hatchet.

I assume that neither Lockie nor Bardle were playing. Geo is out of action. I wonder who was up front and I think that is where we need to look first. From comments above it seems many might agree with me.

After the good 45 min display at Harlow many supporters turned up last night to see more of the same.

Once again the Town support was basically "the total attendance".

3 points and a 2 goal win and remarkably, we move into 4th - shows how poor the league is.

Oh how we were let down again by a very poor, lackluster, inept performance devoid of passion by Town players.

Following 15 minutes of reasonable play Town seemed to go into their shells and the level of play deteriorated.

Before half time many supporters around me were asking for Stevens, Hope and Ewang to be subbed, but as usual nothing happened and it was 65 mins befor Hope and Ewang left the field. It was about 80 mins before Stevens was subbed.

It took 82 minutes for Town to have a shot saved by their keeper.

In my view one of the poorest performances along with the Stotfold game.

I am baffled how EU can state that we played well again.

As others have stated, there needs to be a shake up as players are just not performing.

Why sign Ailey ( was it 25 or 26 goals last season ) and bring him on 0-2 with about 10 mins to go,

Several players need to ask themselves if they actually want to play for the Club.

Last nights contribution by many would suggest they could not care less.

The team needs some Leadership - once again lacking last night.

It will be interesting to see if there is indeed any sort of shake up in the next couple of games.

As for Thamesmead, they are far from the best team in the top half of the league BUT their Manager and their Players all "wanted to win" and had passion about their play. It was only the Thamesmead "team" that you could hear across the pitch.

They fully deserved their win.

Thamesmead Town (0) 2 Killick 56, Probets 75

Enfield Town (0) 0

Attendance 75

The first half could have gone either way with both teams creating chances to score. Joe Stevens, Walid Matata and Jon Moore all had decent shots for Enfield, while for Thamesmead Theo Fairweather-Johnson almost found a way through, then David Noel lifted a shot just over the bar and James Donovan glanced a header just wide. Mark Kirby almost put Enfield ahead arriving at the back post unmarked, but Moore’s centre spun just behind him. Noel caused more and more problems for Enfield as half time approached. Rob Blackburne did well to force him wide and cut out his cross, but could do nothing about his shot that hit the cross bar just before half time.

Enfield had another lucky escape just after the break when Fairweather-Johnson slid the ball under Blackburne only to see it cleared off the line. Bradley Killick then came on and in his first piece of the action got clear on the right to fire under Blackburne for the lead. Enfield had to press forward and were always going to be vulnerable to the quick break. Stevens was unlucky to see a header deflected just past the Thamesmead post but at the other end a good save from Blackburne was all that denied Noel from getting a second for Thamesmead. Dave Kendall was lucky to get away with only a booking for body checking Killick as he ran at goal, but it was a short reprieve for Enfield. Rikki Cable blasted the free kick from the edge of the box into the Enfield wall, and Ashley Probets fired the loose ball in at the near post. Enfield pressed for a goal but without being able to find a way through the Thamesmead defence. Daniel Ailey and Stuart Blackburne both had decent shots blocked, and Stuart Blackburne’s drilled ball across the goal just needed a touch to see it home, but no one was there. In the end Killick could have added a third for Thamesmead, as they saw the game out.

Thamesmead Town: Sam Mott, Jack Hopkins, Ashley Probets, Danny Moore, Lewis Tozer, James Donovan, Jake Burman, Lea Dawson, David Noel (Scott Mulholland 86), Rikki Cable (Leon Farrell 90), Theo Fairweather-Johnson (Bradley Killick 56).

Subs Not Used: Frazer Walker, Danny Beszant

Booked: Moore

Enfield Town: Rob Blackburne, Dan Forward, Jey Siva, Dave Kendall, Mark Kirby, Michael Ewang (Dean Pennant 68), Adam Wallace, Jon Moore, Liam Hope (Stuart Blackburne 68), Walid Matata, Joe Stevens (Daniel Ailey 79).

Booked: Kendall

Old Towner, interesting to hear about the management of Thamesmead Town but what about our own? I wasnt at the game last night so dont know what the situation was but having been to most games last season and a couple this season, it appears that Steve is carrying out most of the management work alone. Was Jason Dale at the match last night as he seems to be missing quite alot? Quite often it appears the players themseves who are taking warm ups and training pieces with SN watching or around the fringes. Most other clubs seem to have a core of background staff supporting the manager. It also seems from the team selection that we are playing players out of position in a number of cases which doesnt seem to be getting the best out of them and the team.

Our Management Team and Players were not particularly "vocal" but it is not for me to answer the other points about Management numbers.

Thamesmead Manager and Players were vocal and supportive of each other with encouragement etc.

Yet another disappointment and our season is as good as over IMO. Dont say I didnt tell you earlier.

Worrying rumours that we wont be in the stadium until the new year were also heard on the night. I hope this isn't true - I've seen the update on the website but not sure what to believe. Please could an inner circle member confirm?

Cheers.
