Great result for Chertsey. Sorry to see the Banstead score but that's 18goals for Maidstone in 2 cup ties. At least they scored a goal and I hear that the Banstead GK was sent off at the end of the first half as well.

 

Eversley 3 Farleigh 1

 

We were far from our best but first home win of season against a good farleigh. Mas, palmer and baker with goals

 

I was there. It was a pretty poor game especially in the first half which Farleigh just shaded. Some interesting new signings including Sol Patterson-Bohner recently released by Leatherhead. He showed his class in the first half then showed the bad side of him - constant mouth, some dodgy tackles, a yellow card, a substitution then a second yellow while sitting in the dugout for saying something to the lino. Then he refused to leave the side of pitch. And so it went on. Great footballer, just lets his attitude get in the way.

 

As for the rest of Farleigh, they did okay but clearly need a keeper to fill Shifty's gloves. The young lad today gifted them two of the goals, one a palm out to a striker, one a tame shot that trickled under him. Not sure the manager knows who all his players are, maybe because he only turned up 10 minutes before the start of the game!

 

Eversley looked a reasonably decent side, no real standouts for me. Other than the two howlers, their other goal was a pen. Props to their keeper to saving a Farleigh pen when it was still 1-0.

 

A LOT of work still needed to bring this ground up to scratch but sounds like they are working hard on it. I assume a lot of would have to be done by next March to stay at this Step?

Mvscr put in a good shift closed down quickly and hard , passed the ball better than Dorking for large periods. Never looked like winning. Could have snitched a point.

 

Probably wOnt finish bottom on zero points

 

 

But you have been promoted beyond your ability and groundsharing and wearing jeans and being a pottymouth bench criticising your own side so I can hear it 75 yards away won't win you friends

We dominated from start to finish had a goal chalked off for nothing then they scored a Worldy CB defended very well and it was one of those games , not too worried as I know what we will produce deserved to lose one game this season against the smug lot Westfield

& evenly fought game with neither sides really testing the keeper until the last 15minutes when this new offside rule went against us, but a good finish anyway & then a captain mistake gave Colliers their second goal & the points which i cant really moan about

How can you criticise other teams,you not been there before.You have such a great playing surface?

Frimley Green 1-5 Westfield

 

We struggled first half in the monsoon and Frimley deservedly went into the break 1 up.

After a rollocking at half time the lads responed within 30 seconds of the restart and we didnt look back as we hit two quick goals to make it 3-1 within 6 minutes of the 2nd half.

Added a further 2 and missed some others.

Frimley stikers were a handfull throughout and after all the fuss on here lately i barely heard a swear word from the dug out and they were respectfull throughout. I could name 10 worse teams when it comes to language

Lost for words for not the first time this season 1 up at h/t and game plan going well we made a good westfield side look poor and could of had 2 or 3.

H/t team talk was to keep turning the back 4.

A new Frimley team turn up for the 2nd half and with in 5 mins where 3-1 down all mistakes game over westfield started to find time and space and played out the game well.

We need to learn and learn quick play good teams off the park for 45 mins doesn't win games for about the 3 time this season.

Lots of people shouting about Guernsey, but my old club Bedfont Sports are matching them all the way, I think we are in for a cracking season in Division One, I don't think we should write any teams off just yet, there's a long long way to go. I think about 8 teams will be in the mix right to the end.
