I appologise if i've wound anyone up, I will tone down my bullishness.

 

I am extremely proud to be born in Guernsey and I am confident in my teams ability to progress up the leagues. I don't know how far. It could be up one league for all I know !

 

I will continue to support my team with pride and confidence.

 

I am a season ticket holder.

 

I respect all teams when they visit Footes Lane. I always clap the opposition subs and I will be the first to clap the first away team to score at Footes Lane ( and any away teams goals ). I reckon the first to score at our ground will be Hartley Wintney.

 

As for me traveling away I have a young family so I don't have much money ( you are either rich or poor in Guernsey, no inbetween and I'm poor ! ). So I can't travel away much. I am saving money to go away and I'm looking at seeing at least 1 away match maybe Bedfont Sports.

 

Anyway I hope that tells you a bit more about me and you all hate me a bit less ! lol

To be honest,I only post on here now because I am interested in guernseys plight,before I just used to look at the forum and post occasionally.When I used to just browse it seemed like smudge was one of the good posters with interesting stuff to say but since Guernsey have been around I can't see what his problem is,he seems to just pick at the most ridiculous things but maybe he is being paid to keep the forum lively!

But smudge it is always guernsey who are on the receiving end.You have to realise that logistically it is a big challenge for a league the size of ccl1 to accommodate a club like guernsey,ok they don't travel in the numbers that the wombles did but there are issues that the league will not have dealt with before and you constantly seem to question them

They have to deal with officials and players from each club travelling to and from airports or is this common in the ccl?

They have to deal with match officials doing the same.

They have to deal with large crowds,mainly on guernsey but later in the season who knows how many may travel over here to see their clubs last few matches,something that is not too frequent in the ccl or any league at that standard.

The whole scenario is completely new to the ccl chiefs but they have had the balls to give it a go so show them some respect instead of nitpicking every decision or situation that arises from guernseys inclusion,you should consider yourself fortunate for the exposure it brings

Urchin,you with the A Levels,and been to 6th form college,how many eh,eh,eh,ehs did you get.Explain how the C.C.L. Chiefs have to do anymore for Guernsey than they do for other C.C.L. Clubs.Guernsey do all the Donkey work,they book flights,hotels,etc after Clubs have sent them an E-Mail telling them who is going,same as Officials.How do they have to deal with crowds in Guernsey or over here,except navigate through them when they attend.The only thing I would imagine extra they have to do this Season,is iron their Shirt and tie.Another big downside of course you have appeared on the C.C.L. Forum because of Guernsey,only follow big time clubs eh,eh,eh.Crikey i just got 3 A's

You carry on living with your head up your own bottom,the exposure the league has/will got/get far outweighs any problems you seem to want to expose.Yes,guernsey do the majority of the donkey work but it still goes under the CCL Banner and any issues will be dealt with by the CCL hierarchy

Smudgeyboy, I just think you're jealous of what Guernsey have achieved or is it you don't like change.

 

The CCL and its member clubs voted Guernsey INTO the CCL. Why you always having a dig at Guernsey, why not have a dig at the clubs who voted them in if you don't want Guernsey in the CCL.

 

Guernsey have gone beyond the call of duty to ENSURE all visiting parties are looked after, a truly professional outfit and should be credited accordingly. Let it go Smudge, Guernsey are here to stay, otherwise it will eat you away, you cannot win !

Jealous Nice Guy,not in the least wish them every success.They are a very professional outfit,you only have to look at the Players warm up,to tell you that.A very drilled bunch of Players,who are also polite and courteous off the pitch as well.As for having a dig at them,please quote my digs as you put it,No Bar,is that a dig?No concessionary entrance Fees is that a dig?No permanent fencing behind either goal is that a dig?£5 to have a seat at Step 6 is that a dig?Regular step 4 refs for Home Games is that a dig?Just imagine any other step 6 club doing this,you would be up in arms.Yes in my book the League have a lot to answer too,But they like you are being carried along on a crest of a wave,and no i wont lose any sleep over it,or money,unlike you alledgely going over to watch them pre-season,can I ask what it cost you?

Not that I have to tell my personal spending, but as you are so fasinated about it, that weekend cost me in the region of £385.00 .......happy now......feel better !
