Knaphill Hospitality

Congratulations and thanks to Knaphill for their excellent hospitality at the FA Vase game on Saturday.

I couldn't get to the game myself but I know from reliable sources that their visitors from Horley Town FC were made very welcome and were most impressed with the Knaphill set-up.

While we're all fanatically biassed and totally behind our own teams, it's refreshing to visit a club that clearly knows how to treat visiting fans, officials and players regardless of what happens on the pitch.

I read the match programme today and was very impressed with its design and content.

Clearly Knaphill is a Club that fully understands the importance of treating visitors like VIPs, an attitude which is vital in these days of declining match attendances.

Well done to all at Knaphill and good luck for the rest of the season!

I know that the match referee has been very complimentary about the set up at Knaphill as well

Quite surprised as when i went to knaphill all i got was abuse by some of their fans and a disgrace as a coach or manager (the bald one!) Who didnt shut up giving it to our players and then chased the lino all the way to the corner flag to put pressure on him to give their 3rd goal against us! (Feltham) which was clearly handball and is on a video on their website for all to see. However other then that best programme i have seen in this league and nice facilities, also a good bunch of lads playing for the team!

I would like to add that, the set up was very good as was the welcome. Would say the clubhouse needs upgrading, if you want to keep people there, to spend some money behind the "bar"

Also to put the hand of shame goal up on their website, is the definition of transparency lol

dom you have a nerve to bad mouth a club re bar and hospitality, when you have played for wembley. that sounds like pot and kettle.

Thanks for the kind words from you guys but a few points very quickly.

I've only been with the club three weeks, but as One of my local clubs (soon to be on my doorstep 'literally') I'd like to say I think we look after everyone accordingly and put on a 'nice experience' for new, returning and regular guests!

Mr Tekkers, we are a good bunch of lads, thank for saying :) regarding the other comments, handball or not we don't make the decisions and to suggest out manager run the length of the touchline is nonsense, he's too old and certainly doesn't move ;) if he did, the he joined the majority of your players who run the surround the assistant.

Answering your other question and also yours Dom, the assistant said to me after he wasn't sure if it was hand or not therefore didn't do anything as he wasn't 100%! However, he did say had the ball not gone in then he'd have awarded us a penalty because our player who scored was shoved into the ball when he went to heading and this would've also meant you'd have had Owen sent off.

That's my bit on that :)

Regarding the bar, well improvements are in place and I believe (I think) a bar licence is due to be properly issued, so Smudge, you can either keep being a sarcastic moron digging on clubs trying to build and do the right thing (which I don't get as you're SUCH an ambassador for non-league football) or you can pop down sometime and have a beer and a bit of banter with other ground hoppers and Mr Freeman who I know you like to spend time with....your call :)

Wattsey to be fair if your team had let a goal in like that third im sure your players would have done exactly the same! We understand that we will have things go against us from time to time and if you would of seen the pen the ref gave for worcester park on sat against us you would of been laughing your head off!

Any how its all good to take praise from others regarding knaphill but you must also respect opinions and your fat bald manager or coach is a poor role model and the abuse he gave some of our players( Mostly Me!) was uneeded. Hes even been on facebook moaning and coating off players! Now how sad is he and what kind of Busy manager does that!

Your a nice bloke and every team has a kent in it and hes yours. I might be it at Feltham (Sure he thinks so!)

Anyway its done now look forward to the game at ours hope your season goes well for you, still having my goal as a shot and not a cross! Take Care

Easy Jeff, think that comment was about an official where this is not....don't worry I'm monitoring it thought......anyway this is about Knaphills hospitality not about incidents in games on that nice dressing rooms all in all looked after us well like Sheerwater and Frimley Green and South Kilburn

You moan about the goal, but i was standing behind that goal and the shot from Halona had already crossed the line, your defender was the wrong side of our other player that attacked the ball and pushed him. The ball was already over the line, you moan about the manager but you gave as good as you got and then after the game you punched the door where i was stamding. POT AND KETTLE I THINK!!!

Its all good now fella's it was frustration and passion that got taken out on the IRON door. It was either that or Guv and i thought the iron door was more of a challenge! Plus Guv was absolutely blowing after the game so i left him alone. I agree with your comment about giving as good as i got, you must be right i am learning all this from my mentor Guv! Knaphill are a decent club with a majority of nice people and look forward to their visit to the Orchard! :argue:
