So 1 = some,did you also ask him what was the policy regarding Level 5 Refs,getting middles in Guernsey.Mr Hailstone was level 4 last year,did loads of Premier games,Scott ,Mays,and your good friend Readett are level 4.

It will be just as hit and miss as to whether you get a good official regardless of if they are level 4 or 5, as it will be in any other game we will play at this season.

 

I remember when AFC Wimbledon were in the league and they always had a fourth official at those games! It didn't effect how your own team played though.

I care for one,think it is very disrespectful to Level 5 Referees,some who have given great service to the C.C.L.Everyone talks about it will be great to play in front of 1500 Supporters for the Players,so why not Referees.Lets take it from your point of view,you would be over the moon as a player,if you had turned week in week out for your Club,then the week of the Guernsey game,they bring in a better player.Sorry Jurgs dont think your up to playing in front of so many people,but can you turn out for us next week.I know what my reply would be,probably the same as most Players.No problem?

Step 5 referees are there for a reason.

Some are there to gain experience,some are there because they are simply not good enough to step up.

Either way,why not put the highest possible level experience referees in games where there are big crowds,bigger crowds are more likely to be more vocal,abusive etc so put a better referee in for them.Simply common sense smudger

Oh its the size of the crowd that matters then,as too what level of Referee you get then,so by rights Guernsey should be getting Conference Level Officials as they are ranked 18th in the Crowd Tables Nationally,Urchin you do speak rubbish,never expect to see a decent at Hornchurch then with yur crowds.

Dont be an idiot smudge.Why put a referee who is out of his depth in charge of a game where there are 1500 people in the ground,same size crowd as a Division 2 or conference game,which has the same problems logistically as them.Surely it makes common sense to get a better level referee in,lets face it many of the referees i have seen at senior level are poor and are probably used to refereeing in front of ten men and a dog,at least the next level they are used to half decent size crowds.Do take you head out of your own ar$e Smudge

Irrespective of whether it's at a Guernsey game or not, if a higher calibre of official takes charge then great IMO. If they don't, then so what. They aren't going to effect my own performance on the day (should I be playing).

I just assumed you wouldn't be stupid enough to refer to my good lady as a dog!

Because if you did,and I ever saw you I would give you the biggest kicking this side of Guernsey.

As for me not being the brightest star in the rowntrees galaxy,I would suggest you think again as I didn't leave 6th form with anything less than straight A's.You don't get those by sitting in the corner of the class wearing a stupid hat.
