How could you argue that? Regardless of where either team finishes in the league, cups etc we are playing in exactly the same competitions and would therefore be an entirely asinine argument

definetley my own descision jurgs an i actually thought best to go at halftime incase he actually did lol played sunday to get 20 mins usual sunday only 11 inc me so had to play whole game couldnt move before last nights game an me ol legs were seizing soon as we stopped for half time!! after 4 months out with little training im more than happy with my contribution but i know my limits at 33 lol

how comes your not playing? injuries? age? lol

shep not playing ?? an as both teams rested players makes for good games in the league i reckon an as you say shows both sides have strength in depth

 

Shep's on holiday this week. Other than Saturday gone, and last night, he's played every game this season.

Fair play mate. You didn't look too bad considering! Well I'm the same age as you, but that's not what's stopping me from playing atm! I've actually got a broken finger (which isn't exactly ideal for the position I play) and it's in a splint for another 2 weeks min. If the next x-ray is all clear then I'll be good to go.

Sheps has been away for the last few games, but I believe is back for the w/e. Yeah the league games should be good if last night is anything to go on.

Wonder what the Guernsey scout who was there thought of both teams?!

Are there problems at Chalky Lane ?

 

Chessy, what the hell's happened to Cheessington & Hook this season ? Last nights result was the 2nd 8 goal drumming after Camberley the other week...................manager safe ? ...........are players playing for manager and club ? ...or players playing for themselves, just picking up their packet........?

 

Chessington and Hook started the season well though beating Badshot Lea which is a result for anyone.

 

To be fair the C&H keeper did say they had three defenders out last night.

 

Egham played some lovely football last night though. A lovely worked free kick just on the final whistle.

 

I'm not sure who upset the player who was sent off though? He came in the clubhouse looking to hit someone who he said was stood by the dugouts then stormed off and threw a plastic bin on the floor. God knows what that was all about?!!!

Gutted again as for second game in a row late goals cost us. With a mixed team we defended great and were two up with 15 mins to play with goals from enrico rossoni . Then game changed as they got a free kick 30 yards out and before kick was taken as both teams were setting up

they was some pushing in the box and the ref gave a pen which they scored. Gave them hope and the game was level on 85 mins then in the 97th min the winner came after a hand ball was missed in build up. These things happen but 140 mile round trip to lose late is slightly annoying

 

If the ball was out of play i.e. before the free kick was taken, then surely, there is no way that the referee can award a penalty.

If the ball had gone,say for a throw in and there was a scuffle on the pitch, you would still re-start with a throw in.

I thought this was the case also but the officials gave the pen even before the player was running up to hit the ball. Like I said just annoyed when we had a 70 mile trip there to get a call like that and christchurch were a good side and would have been a big win for us. Farliegh at the weekend looking for first home win

Clearly a few problems NG as shipping 8 goals twice may suggest ...... however unfortunately due to work and home commitments i have not been involved at all this season so as dangerous as this is i will have to leave you to speculate as to what these problems may be!!!

 

One thing i will say on the managers behalf is that there is no way Glynn would entertain players who show no interest in playing for him unless circumstances dictate otherwise and he will get the guys pulling in the right direction soon enough. Chessy v Egham next season... any takers for 0-0 !!!!!
