Whilst Guernsey are pulling up Trees in C.C.L,Their home League sides are taking a beating from the Crapauds in the Inter Insular Cup Competition.The locals are not happy at losing to their Arch Rivals.But now they are devoid of their best players,the future looks bleak.

Factually not quite right either. There are actually two interisland cups, and I think there have been 4 ties so far with Jersey taking 3 wins. Only 1 of those results I would think was disappointing. The rest pretty much went with form/reputation. But don't let that ruin a good headline.

If you read Smudge's post you will see a claim to having "Crapaud blood", he is the biggest wind up merchant ever. I have been to Guernsey a number of times and i doubt you guys are worried about it too much.

 

For what ever reason Le Smudge has a problem with you guys, but i think he just likes getting a rise out of Guernsey Donkey......lol

There has always been 'friendly' rivalry between Guernsey and Jersey - It's historic, and often NOT so 'friendly'

 

I remember many years ago watching my cousing Judy, (who still lives on Guernsey), playing hockey against Jersey.

 

I say 'play' advisedly, as it was more like WW!!. I've seen far fewer bruises in all the mens games I've watched !
