Reshuffle at step5?

Could affect/help us in the future. Sounds like they want to reinstate the 2 up 2 down policy between steps 4 and 5.

That's more a idea from the NWCL, the actual restructure is more about reducing 14 step 6 leagues down to 12 to give parity to the pyramid ie 4 step 6 leagues feed into Ryman, 4 to Southern and 4 to Northern whereas at the moment you have 14 leagues trying to fill 6 promotion places.

As usual the leagues to suffer will be in the South as that part of the country has more step 6 leagues so you could end up with [for example] the Kent League and the Sussex League becoming one league which immediately demotes half the clubs in each down to step 7 - understandably the step 6 leagues are not overjoyed at the idea but it WILL go through because the FA want it to !

If it were to happen now and you took the current league positions as they stand at this time we would be a step 7 club next season.

I personally think that 2 clubs should be promoted at whatever level you play but that would mean 4 teams relegated from each of the Ryman, Southern & Northern leagues and I don't think those leagues would be too happy about that either.

Personally I would like to see 4 going down from the Ryman/Evo-Stik leagues although I doubt the clubs and leagues would agree.

I've just realised [and it won't let me edit now] that I've got my step / level numbers wrong so where I refer to step 6 it should be 5 and 7 should be 6 !
