Recommended Posts

reel em in Smudgey!

Us Islanders can handle a rod but how can they handle being the fish?!!

* By the way we have our local ass hole security employed down at the ground as well just in case

I doubt Smudge will be going to Guernsey any time soon.......!

Can't say I've noticed any criticism of the Guernsey defence. Care to provide some quotes Sarnia?

TRS I recall that Guernsey defence looked very suspect centrally at the beginning of the season when viewing some goals they conceded on film.......some terrible defending against the long ball.....remember now ?

Nice Guy,

Guernsey defence looked solid to me, have seen them 3 times thus far and not conceded in any, was the back line then the same now as of the early season ?

Also have heard on the grapevine Guernsey players get very homesick (Ross Allen) so i'm not sure he will up sticks but saying that surely anyone would jump at the chance to play League Football.................wouldn't they ?

Regards

Hi VR. If you note my comments, they state that the Guernsey defence looked square and vulnerable to the long ball down the middle at the BEGINNING of the season, it could be now that they have realised this and sorted their problem out. I have not seen them recently............... .

IF AT ALL, NEARER THE TRUTH.N.G. DOES NOT DO DIV 1,IT IS BENEATH HIM.

No channel online T.V. Nice Guy thats the reason you have not seen them lately. And if T.R.S does not film the game next week, that will be another week that you have not seen them, you Rascal you. ;)

Don't wanna spoil your show Smudgeyboy but please check previous posts you will find that I've seen Guernsey play on 3 occasions

AFC Wimbledon, Horley Town and Hartley Wintney hence I have not seen them lately. How many times you watched Guernsey ?

You will also note my comments made about Allen after watching him after 2.5 games way back when .......!

Happy Now ...........lol !!!

No bite from me Hartley Hare, I wasn't there so I am sure you are right! My point is that most teams would probably take Guernsey's defensive record in the league thus far, and also that Guernsey do look to play in an attacking manner, which can mean that the defence is exposed at times, which does not necessarily mean the defence itself is suspect, but rather that Guernsey could be vulnerable to concede due to their style of play

i watched u against cb hounslow and if cb had a striker that could finish they could of had at least 3 goals first half. not saying they wud of won the game but a example of goals will be scored against you. i dont think its a bad defence its getting caught out trying to over play sometimes, you looked a little ceptible to the counter

Good point Tigger,

And especialy down the left flank where Guernsey seem to have problems, but saying that still solid only 3 goals let past the keeper.

Young lineup this afternoon at Spelthorne including 3 players making their debuts today. Perhaps this could be it?

Trebor,

I think Vancey is putting too much faith in youth, i would imagine he will say its a rotation policy because of the amount of games this season, but i would like us to give everything a fair crack including cup competition's.

Guernsey wont like coming to the meadowbank with that pitch so could be an upset then?

Having been at Meadowbank yesterday, I don't think so !!

..... and I'm NOT talking about the pitch.

A Fans Focus X1,will be more than a match, for the mighty Guernsey.Thats why they declined a pre season friendly this year,we could certainly lower their Colours. We have the cream of the crop at our fingertips playerwise, and 2 very astute Managers, who could mastermind their downfall.

Smudge, I am led to believe that Guernsey FC did offer a pre-season friendly against a Forum X1 but the Forum were unable to raise a team therefore GFC did not decline the offer as you said.

You really should take up the offer of speaking to Steve Dewsnip or Mark Le Tissier when you get the chance, then you will be able to get facts about Guernsey F C rather than posting inaccuracies which you have been doing but that isn't your way is it.

I have spoken to Steve & Mark and they would welcome the opportunity have a chat, go on you know you want too.

Well will Smudge or won't Smudge, what do we reckon?
