Who's Going To Be The First To Beat Guernsey ?

Recommended Posts

I see we play Westfield away as the next league game which will be a Tuesday night.

Tough game and how well GFC does in that one could depend heavily on who's available to go over and play.

Same will apply for the away game on Wednesday 26th October against (the mighty) Lamma's. These are the most testing games for the squad who i'm sure will be missing at least a couple of the first choice 11 in each of those games.

Cant see anyone in Div 1 beating them tbh. Havent seen em play but they seem to be a Big problem, esp dis Allen guy who cant stop scoring. Gonna be interesting to see em in the Prem next year.

From the results so far its hard to see anyone beating them.

Apart from Hartley who are also contenders they have smashed every team they have played.

No other team has done this,

They will have an off day at some point and too many key players missing so will wait and see

Personally i think its great they are in the league gives us something else to talk about instead of

Nice Guy vs Duncs

Villager vs Knaphill

WP always taking a promotion spot

Jonnos worldy

etc.....

Also given the CCL alot more coverage.

Cant see Spelthorne getting anything from their game

They have Westfield which on paper should be a test then prob Lammas away in October the next one after that.

Cant wait to play them!!!!

Like ive said before im glad there in the league. They have a great squad of players that play good football.

They have ambitious people behind them trying to get them up the football ladder. There a great bunch.

from what ive heard all visiting teams have been well looked after.

most of all it gives all the players in div 1 and poss the prem players the opportunity to play in front of a 1500 + crowd which will probably not happen again for most if not all of them.

I'm also very confident that no-one will take points from them on the island!

5-0 down at half time on the opening day i wanted to call my mum and get her to pick me up! They destroyed us.

Although, the longer it goes on the more teams want to be the 1st to beat them so will get harder and harder!

Well I certainly can't see us taking Arsenal's "invincibles" crown. We do look good at home I must admit but will be beaten on more than one occasion. I've not seen any of the other top 5 play so am in no position to judge how good we are relative to the current leading pack. I just enjoy how we try to play and hope it continues to bring good results.

True you never know in football but you need to see it to believe it

Thanks Gilesy08. Its true you do need to see us to see how good we are.

Donkey very arrogant......but have seen Guernsey and can't say any different, lets see how good they are against a CCP team in a Cup compo.

No one and i mean no one will BEATGuernsey at home different class, different League........given Donkey lots to crow about i know !

Gilesy08 said it first ! lol

Wonder how many teams regreat voting them in

Why would people regret voting in a good entertaining side who play great football on the ground, have given the league great media coverage and will help bring money into CCL clubs through increased gates ?

The team that finish 4th I would say and if your as good as you think you are you'll win the perm next season so the team that finishes 2nd next season may regret it.

That doesn't make much sense at all. All clubs in the CCL are trying to get promoted. Why single us out ?
