Seating Charge

This has been annoying me since I can remember, so today I finally asked someone about it at the game.

The club charge supporters an extra £1 for the privilege of sitting in luxury. However at half time people come and sit in the stand and are not charged at all. So, in effect, we are charged £1 for 45 mins as the 2nd half is free. So I asked the man who takes the money for the stand about it after the game, to which he replied it wasn't down to him but the management - of course that's fully understandable. Why not charge people 50p if they just want to sit for the 2nd half - that way it's fair and a little bit extra income albeit not much !

So I said to the man that it would be better if people stood up for the 1st half and then sit down for the 2nd half and therefore don't have to pay by extra charge.

I finally raised it today because 2 older gentlemen who always sit in the same seats close to me, went at half time for a drink or whatever and came back to find another man in their seats, of course he had not paid. obviously he wasn't to know the seats were taken and he did move but it occurred to me that the 2 gentlemen had paid for that seat and could lose it to someone who hadnt paid.

The man on the stand said they couldn't control people going into the stand at half time but surely it would be easy if people who paid the £1 before ko use their seating ticket stub as proof and those that haven't got one and want to sit for the 2nd half, have to pay 50p. That's fair I think ?

Obviously its not the most important issue, but just a little niggle of mine !

I thought yesterday when I was watching the match how many stewards or 'people who were wearing yellow jackets' were at the match with only a crowd of 370+ why do we need so many stewards. One pesumes they watch the match free, the club could do with the extra 10 stewards who are surplus to requirements to pay the £10,00 entrance fee.

i think its great that stewards are being 'trianed'.

We should be very grateful to those 'senior' stewards-and those who have a fresh interest.

Yoou can never have enough stewards-evewn if some are just on standby.

Todays 'feast' of stewards-could be tomorrows famine';and without them-no games would go ahead-so i am just very grateful for their efforts.

Maybe, just maybe-the club are preparing for the number of stewards that mat be reuired if we ever go on a cup run !!

Nah-i guess not -never happen will it-
