Saturday 10 September

FA Vase First Qualifying Round

2-3 Hatfield Town v Sporting Bengal United

A further report on this affair from another’s Forum:

Hatfield Town vs Sporting Bengal United FA Vase.

Wonder if I'll see a fourth game on the trot that goes to extra time!

And the answer is yes.

Not a bad game, but not so high on entertainment as the three previous 120 minute plus games seen earlier this week.

Another first for me was not only to see Sporting Bengal avoid a defeat, but actually win a game! Perhaps I'll see them win a league match in the not to distant future. Glad that that the switch from the Kent League seems to have done them some good. The young Manager of Bengal is a decent bloke and usually quite helpful. Glad to meet the friendly Hatfield Town officials again that I spoke to last Tuesday at Enfield. Do hope they get a good result at Barton Rovers in the FA Cup on the 17th September.

Clips from this match have been uploaded onto You Tube at:

Tring Athletic 3-1 Hanwell Town

Pictures online already

http://www.tafc.co.u..._id=1601#photos

I know this sounds bad but im so glad i didnt bother making the longish trip to watch Hanwell Town play today. Insted i made the very short trip to watch Feltham beat Worcester Park 3 2 it was well worth the £3 entrance fee.

Set your sat-nav up for Division 1 grounds for next season at this rate SB

At the moment it does look like this could well happen :(

Nope! This will not happen. Its when your teams going through the toughest times they need your support the most, im sure you was about when the team was winning. Trust me i know, im a Gooner. Its early in the season, 2 wins out of 8 isnt the best start but theres plenty of football to be played yet. Teams still quite new & needs time to gel (got that straight from the Wenger book of quotes) Anyway hold fire on the Sat nav & get behind ya team!!

To be fair savageBee seems well dedicated and an honest bloke. Hanwell will be fine great set up and always have at the least a very competitive side, Blaise O'Brien was prolific last year and is bound to start smashing them in soon enough

And where will you be tomorrow evening?

Strangely enough Kingsbury Tigers v Hillingdon Borough is on my short list for this evening, I’ll be interested to see the palatial refurbishment work Kingsbury have carried out since they unceremoniously got rid of Tokyngton Manor

You must be in the know.

When did London Tigers change their name to Kingsbury Tigers?

I must update my paperwork.

Thanks for the heads-up.

There you go again with your bile! Tokyngton had just as much chance as Tigers to take up the lease forfeited by Bedfont Green. They missed the boat.

Not at all, how would I know as I haven’t been to the Viking Sports Ground since 21 April 2010 when London Colney cried off incase they grazed their knee on a hard surface. Yes, apologies, I meant London Tigers, I wonder what they will be called next season, Greenford or Viking Tigers perhaps!

Since you didn't turn up, I assume you went to another game from your list.

Where did you end up?
