Anyone know the dates of when the next fa cup games are?

pitch good and a descent crowd for this fa cup game saw the villains through to the next round ! sports into there stride early doors playing some tidy stuff without really threatening the excellent buss in the villa goal , most of what he had to deal with was as a keeper would say bread and butter stuff until on about 20 mins buss made a point blank save from vidal which looked as though sports would go 1 up gotta say great goal keeping!

then against the run of play villa mainly long ball football shennan picked the ball up an the sports midfield parted like moses across the water left shennan to strike across goal to peltons left to give hanworth an unlikely looking 1 nil lead , this though gave them the upper hand an they started to get into there stride with sports now under a bit of pressure but again the same outcome no end product!

2nd half started pretty even bit more of a battle though in terms of footballing, baker coming close when a turn an strike clipped the outside of bussy's post an again most of what either keeper had to deal with was routine !

baker had another strike when with a little more composure should';ve done better , shennan with a mazy run should've scored but screwed wide an loveridge with a free kick that struck the sports wall and an effort that saw pelton get a stretched hand to prevent antonio scoring late on.

johnson was introduced for the villa an he was then given space in the box rode a couple of tackles rounded pelton to secure the win!

my opinion is sports ran villa very close an with better football in the final third and an end product could of come out of this going through to next round ,villa once got infront played football but before was long ball stuff which most of was dealt with by the sports back four but shennan always looking dangerous an buss comfortable

good game in all played in a good spirit an we even had a sing song after still aswell !!

 

good luck villa in the next round and all ccl teams still in the fa cup!!!

SOUNDS just about right, but im not sure how sports were ever going to score. turner was so isolated up top. think sports lack of quality in front of goal may be a problem,

agree fan very isolated up top and has been our problem over last couple of seasons not scoring enough ! last season turner 25 no other player even near him season before coombs an kanani 22 each i think but no midfielders in double figures could well be we'll drop points again this season through lack of goals where are the 30 goal a season players nowadays most still the same players as has been last say 5 years not many new that are on the scene

Baggie Lea 1up at ht against ash

 

I still can't believe that first goal was allowed. I was standing right behind the linesman and you could see

the Bagshot Lea player handle it with both hands. It was impossible for the linesman not to see it.

Cant understand why he did not flag ?

 

I was at the far end off the pitch but by the reaction of our team know something was wrong (never seen our keeper so heated as he was at that moment). On chances i would say baggie deserved the win (just) but alittle annoying as the 2nd goal came with us just getting on top of the game.

The decision was unbelievable and if i had been on the end of that i would not have been happy.I could not have had a better view unless i was the linesman ! Thought your guys worked really hard and showed a great attitude but just lacked a little bit of quality in the final 3rd. Agree with your comments as you looked dangerous on set pieces and were getting on top. Much better Ash side than last year.

Agree with you about the final 3rd but was looking forward to seeing the new midfielder who went off early in the 1st half, suppose to be a good exciting player. Was missing a couple forwards last night but thats not making out excuses. Thought Baggie played some neat football on a decent pitch, however will they be able to do that in a month or two's time when the pitches start to get cut up abit.

Im just looking myself for the team to do better than last season so we can all enjoy our centenary season

Baggy lea are not a special footballing side that need a good pitch. They hit the front 'MAN' early and midfielders bomb on to support. They are strong from set pieces too. Crappy January pitches will not phase them at all in my opinion.

I understand you were meant to have another exciting young centre midfield player playing for you last night whos on loan from Godalming but couldn't play at the last minute because they found out he was still registered with Sandhurst, shame really would like to have seen him.
